I'm sure most of you are aware of this, but this link only discusses the development of the English KJV of the Bible.
But that is not all. The title is not misleading as the link does cover the origin of the Geneva Bible leading to the KJV as in the King James Version as I stated in the opening of the OP.
Below is a link which explains clearly the origin of the Geneva Bible with a short history of the other Bible versions which was leading up to the necessity of the King James Bible and why even afterwards, the King James Bible took off as opposed to the Geneva Bible with its notations......

I do point out a misrepresentation of the Holy Spirit at that site as Jesus is the Giver of Life. Below is a line of contention for which I believe they just derived that from the common Nicene Creed.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who imparts new life to those who believe in Christ; through His indwelling presence and transforming power He gives assurance and equips believers for holy living and effective service.
John 6:33For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
May God cause the increase as to why this must be specified because the Holy Spirit will not speak of Himself but to testify of Jesus Christ as the scriptures testifies of Jesus Christ so as scriptures specifically designate Jesus as the Giver of Life, so will the Holy Spirit in us shall testify of the Son also.
I cannot find the source of these translation into other languages; whethor it be from the documents at Antioch where believers were first called christians or if they were basing it from Alexandria where poetic licensing were known to occur as most modern Bibles were translated from.
I must point out that any translation from documents of Alexandria should be circumspect, and for the actual meaning of God's words, I would confer to the King James Bible if other translations has the scriptures pointing to the Spirit or placing the emphasis on man whereas the King James has it on Jesus, then go with the King James Bible as scriptures are written to testify of the Son.
John 5:39Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
This is why I am emphasizing the King James Bible. I can hope they translate the King James Bible into other languages, but I know that there are modern Bible in foreign languages as well. Given the clue of the love for money, those that have copyright patents on the "modern" Bibles are more apt to influence and push their Bible versions to be translated with all of its hype as to why people prefer them over the King James... which is coincidentally the Bible with no copyrights to claim on it.... unless someone added illustrations, maps, and the likes to have that kind of a claim on it, but on the Word of God.. no claim.
So keep that in mind when reading your Bible as well as thinking about what version to donate in other languages.
