The priest is not the middle man between you and God. Jesus Christ is the middle man between man and God. You can go to a temple 1,000,000 times for 3,000,000 sins and confess them to a priest and it is just as good as asking a dog to pardon you for your sins. No man can come go to God except through Jesus Christ. No one can save you except Jesus Christ. Will you be saved by him? Do you follow him? The only one who has made payment for your sins, and the only one who can speak to God for you is Jesus Christ. But you have to speak to Jesus.

Your pastor can't save you. Your bible can't save you. Your casting out demons can't save you. Your prophecy can't save you. Satan can't save you. Miracles can't save you. Confession can't save you. ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE YOU! Obey Jesus!!! Give your heart and your life to Jesus, and the Spirit of God will teach you about him, and lead you into ALL truth. This is not a boyfriend girlfriend relationship, this is a marriage, this is a covenant situation. Is there a middle man between you and your wife? Neither can their be one between Jesus and his Church. Repent to Jesus, not to your companions.

if we could save ourselves with works then who would need grace? who would need Jesus if they could do it alone? we can't

Res: Yes, Jesus is God, but if God hadn't come to earth as man, we'd still be separated from Him
