The result of God’s work is pursuant to His plan, and not according to our expectances.
I risk considering this verse as the verse most known of the Holy Scripture. Nevertheless, it is very little figured out. Notwithstanding Jesus to be the Alpha and Omega in Revelation 1.8, while we are in this world, He is the Way. It is for this that we don’t take in many things that happens to us.
I suggest recalling always of this verse:
I always imagined being truth that if our thoughts are perfect, all in our life will work out. Nonetheless, the Psalm says that we should entrust our actions to Jesus. In fact, in Genesis we see the Creator handing over His works to Himself (inasmuch as there isn’t anyone greater to whom He could confide His works), that is to say, He appraised His works (Genesis 1.10,12,18,21,25,31).
In other words, while we are walking with Jesus in this world, we need to give feedback to Jesus at all moment. Never hope that the things finish well, because we are only in the middle of the way that began in the eternity e will finish in the eternity. The only right thing is that all our lives in this world is only a little bit part of the grandiose plan of the Eternal.
So what matters is not the results, but the certainty that we are doing exactly what Jesus wants. In doing so, we will surely find meaning in our lives, we will be happy, and even if we do not see the fruits of our actions in this life, we will surely see them in eternity.
