Thanks huglife, for making me see that this forum needed a scary resort.

So, what's the scariest thing yall have ever experienced?

It can be everything from being attacked by a vicious Roly Poly to be realizing that the neighbors are painting their house in a greenish pink kinda style wrongfully mixed up with the antebellum style.

Ladies and gentlemen, the floor is yours.

Serious note: When the cardiologist came out (after taking hubby away for tests) and told me he was having a massive heart attack. (Not that he already had one, which apparently he did, but that he was still having it.) And then making it clear that it was highly unlikely he'd make it through the night.

Humorous note: My brother's caiman (relative to gators and crocs) gave two different women and one sub-division their scariest moment in the space of 6-8 years.

1. Mom. The caiman lived in a galvanized tub in the basement. Our washer and dryer were in the same basement. It got out one day. Now, obviously Mom was a brave woman for letting her son have such a pet, but she never did tell what happen when she saw the caiman on the floor, instead of the tub. She did, however, love to tell the story of how she had to call our high school to tell the office she had to pick up her son so he could get his caiman back where it belonged.

There was silence on the other end of the phone. Then the woman said, "Well, absolutely no one could come up with that as an excuse, so I'm going to believe you, and your son will be waiting for you when you get here."

2. A year later, we were living in a sub-division and my brother had constructed his turtle pen over a small creek across the road from a pond. The creek was smaller than a brook, so it wasn't like his 200+ box turtles, his black snakes, garter snakes, or copperheads could get under the fence even in the creek, but by that time the caiman was a good six feet long, so it wasn't getting out either...

Until Tropical Storm Agnes came along. That storm flood the pond, turned the creek into a massive lake, and I was up the road at the time, and went from living on a mountain to living on an island overnight. The turtle pen was destroyed.

My brother knew all his pets, so he spent the next week looking for them, and got back over 100 of his turtles. (Never found the snakes.) And he was canoeing one day by the river a mile away from that used-to-be creek, (which dumped into that river) and found his caiman sunning itself on the banks.

3. About 3-5 years later, same brother, same caiman, and brother had his own house. Caiman was given free reign of the first floor when no one was home. (There was also a boa constrictor with free reign too, and several free-reign rats so the snake and caiman could eat whenever they were hungry.) But my brother would put the caiman into his regular tub, by that time, if he was entertaining guests. (Not many guests for obvious reasons. lol)

He went out on a date where a lot of drinking was involved, and brought his date home afterward. Lot of drinking involved, plus his driveway is very bumping, so date jumped out of the car heading for the bathroom faster than he could warn her what was in the bathtub.

Same problem Mom had. The caiman hadn't stayed where he was supposed to, BUT he was still in the bathroom.

She got bit on the ankle by an eight foot caiman after she had dropped her drawers to sit on the toilet.

That date ended with a trip to the ER.

Scary enough for ya? Always make sure what pets people have and where the pets are located. lol
