I'm going to give the "21 Day Sugar Detox" a try. It's only 3 weeks. I got the e-book, but the physical book is out now too and has new recpies, etc. It's similar, but it is a very focused and comitted type of diet - no cheating allowed for 21 straight days. I'm not sure i could do it, but i think it would be very good for me.
It's very paleo in nature, but in level 1 you are allowed half a cup of a grain or legume. It talks about exactly why sugar and artifcial sweetners are so bad for you and what it does to your body. Sugar, which includes refined carbs, is very addicting. She also wrote "Practical Paleo" which i plan to buy soon. It seems like a very healthy way to eat, but i would still eat beans and quinoa/brown rice, etc. Diane Sanfilippo is the author, btw.
