The bird created the branches, and they were good.
The bird loved the branches, and it was good.
The bird directed the branches, for their good.
The weed choked the branches, to show them good.
The branches died with the weed, and it wasnt good.
The branches hated the bird, who was good.
The bird adored the branches, though they werent good.
The bird gave the ram for the branches, to make them good.
The bird killed the ram for the branches, and made them good.
The bird walked.
The bird cried.
The bird limited itself,
restrained itself,
hurt itself,
clipped itself,
Because the bird wanted to walk with the branches.
Because the bird loved the branches,
The bird chose not to fly.
The hen raised the ram, she felt pride.
The hen taught the ram, she felt love.
The hen favoured the ram, she felt disappointment.
The hen mothered the ram, she felt unworthy.
The hen pressed the ram, she felt impatient.
The hen wanted the lion, she felt confused.
The hen saw the ram, she cried.
The hen heard the ram, her heart broke.
The hen killed the ram, she mourned in anguish.
The hen grieved the ram, she gave in to despair.
The hen understood the ram, she stood in awe.
The branch chose the ram, she surrendered.
Behold the Word who became flesh,
Behold the Son who always obeyed,
Behold the Tested who remained pure,
Behold the Man who felt sorrow and love,
Behold the Sufferer who lived in desecration,
Behold the Teacher, who saved the blind,
Behold the Healer, who restored bodies,
Behold the Redeemer, who salvaged souls,
Behold the Deserted, who stood alone,
Behold the Obedient, who denied himself,
Behold the Afflicted, who endured agony,
Behold the Love, who chose to die,
Behold the Ram, who was sacrificed,
Behold the Lion, that rose victorious,
Behold the Vine, who feeds the branches,
Behold the I AM, that limited his power,
Behold the Unconditionally Loving God,
Behold the Ever-Bleeding Man.
I am just a branch with a story to tell,
I am just a man living in hell.
I am just a sinner, healed by the cross,
I am just broken, made whole by its cost.
I am just a rebel, living in selfishness,
I am just a servant, pleading forgiveness.
I am just a human, what rights do I have?
I am Your son, guided by your hand.
I am just evil, wanting my way,
I am also good, trying to obey.
I am just a gentile, living for fleshly need,
But I just want to deny myself, so on You will I lean.
Help me not to repeat the failure of man,
Help me to live like I'm born again.
Help me to see the bird's sacrifice,
Help me to learn from the hens life.
Help me to heed the Lamb's advice,
Help this branch to love you,
With body, soul, spirit, and mind.
