It's hard being a teenager while also walking with God in the world we live in today. And to be honest with you, I would've struggled, if it wasn't for God. The struggle is real, but that's if we choose to do it on our own. I live in Malaysia, and I go to a government school or public school as most of you would call it. And I'm surrounded 24/7 by people who don't have the same faith as me. 90% of them being Muslims. However, their religion doesn't deter me. It used to be really hard for me to answer their questions. Because to be honest, I myself didn't know what I believed in. My parents are Christians, so of course I had to be raised in it. And I hated it.
But, I moved churches and I heard the same Gospel, but in a different light, and it changed my life forever. I learned about the understanding, lovable God who came to save us, us imperfect sinners. Not only did I learn, but I also understood and believed. Because Christianity is not a religion, I came to the realization of that. It's a faith. And then it was all clear to me. My walk with God wasn't and isn't going to be easy. But, if I rely in and on Him, then it'd be like a walk in the park. Not because I'm trying to walk. But because He is walking for me.
And that's when I found happiness. I didn't find God, because God found me.
