I think that people need to remember the true love that we have received through Christ, our Messiah, Yeshua. Its a love that is so strong and pure, so generous and bright that it even scares people away. Do you remember what Christ did for the adulteress in the book of John? Christ said to the people 'He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first' and they all left an qd He said to her 'Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more'
In the book of Luke Jesus also says 'But I say to you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you on one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, so not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods, do not ask back'
Think of it this way, if someone comes into your home with a gun and wanted to make your life a nightmare, you tell them that they are loved and you would make them dinner if they ate hungry. They would look at you like your crazy and get mad and torture and kill your kid and your crying but still say to them you forgive them and still love them.
Doesnt that seem kinda impossible? To have that love? But that's what God DID, is let the people torture and kill His son, and still give them grace and love to choose to change their ways and follow His sons path.

Nice reference and example to go with it. It makes you wonder who would all still show that kind of love to someone so full of sin. It is a hard thing to do, but that is the thing about love. It never fails, it God's love as a matter of fact endures forever.
