The Truthful Words of Pope Andrian VI (1523 AD):

"There is no hint of an abiding Petrine office. In so far as the Fathers speak of an office, the reference is to the episcopate in general. All bishops are successors to all the apostles."
"In the Middle Ages, the idea of a pope unable to fall into error took root with a hypothesis called "the work of Satan" by popes and curia alike. However, most Roman Catholics would be shocked at the pronouncement of the 16th century pope, Adrian VI, ad the clear witness of history, wich has been blurred out of focus by the Roman Church since 1870:
"MANY ROMAN PONTIFFS WERE HERETICS.""The quote is not in fact from a Protestant, but from Pope Adrian I in 1523:
"If by the Roman Church you mean its head or pontiff, it is beyond question that he can err even in matters touching the faith. He does this when he teaches heresy by his own judgment or decretal. In truth, many Roman pontiffs were heretics."
