I was caught off guard..!!!!! oh no I hope the lord has mercy on me I do not want to be as the hypocrites praying at the street corners to be seen of men... and I spoke it out also!!! WHY ME... ALL THIS TIME I HAVE TRIED NOT TO BE LIKE THIS AND I SLIP WHAT IN THE WORLD JUST HAPPENED... please someone pray for me, hypocrisy is a really bad sin!!!

really what have I done.. I didn't want to be seen by anybody when I did that!!!! I think this is really bad... no guys.. THIS IS REALLY BAD, WILL I HAVE THE PORTION WITH THE HYPOCRITES BECAUSE I TOLD SOME RELATIVE OF MINE(IN THIS WORLD YOU WOULD CALL HER MY SISTER)NOT TO PRAY IN PUBLIC.. oh no..

this is terrible! what can I do?!!? ................

This is bad... i feel very terrible for doing this... i feel bad for letting god down like this.. jesus commanded us not to pray like this..

Come on man chill out.

"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth."

"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also WILL DO IT."

There is none righteous no, Not one! But how are we justified? Through Christ's blood. It's through faith in Christ that we are made righteous not of our works lest any man boast.

Correction, he commanded us not to pray like the pharisees! sorry about that!!

Yeah im guessing this doesn't make me a hypocrite.

He commanded us not to pray like they did. Going out in the streets so that they can boast in front of people, they've received their reward. But dude,

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

If you think You have sinned he is Faithful and Just to forgive you of your sins! Have faith, Jesus gives us eternal life, it was earned by what He did on the cross, It's not of our works.

Dud chill out! how can it be a bad thing to pray. It serves as an example.. you are like a light!

It is the heart in Jesus that matters and the reasons.
Even so, Jesus forgives. :)
God bless.

When Jesus was talking about the Pharisees praying in public, it wasn't the fact that they prayed in public that was the problem-- it was that they prayed just so others could see how religious they were; their motives for praying was corrupt, and that was the real problem.

A person should go into a private in and pray, but if you legitimately have a reason for praying in public such as someone asking for you to pray with them-- as long as your motives are pure-- I don't think there is anything wrong with it, in fact, I think it is courageous!

Dude, the pharisees used to pray in public IN ORDER TO BE SEEN by men. You where praying in public IN ORDER TO COMMUNICATE with GOD! Two very different things. You heart was focused on being with God, and that is all that matters. If you pray in public, let it be a prayer to God and for God and not a prayer to God and for man. God bless

Dear Brother, fear not !!!

Dear Brother, fear not. God was only speaking to those who believed not, but wanted to thought pious and prefered of God by those who would see them and think they were Holy men of God. But these same men would go to their business and cheat people or sin in many others ways, only appearing to be Holy.

You have done nothing wrong, if you spoke to God in faith not for those who noticed you, but for God who would hear you.

May God pour out wisdom and His richest blessings upon you, in Jesus name, Amen.

Love in Jesus
brother Gary

When you prayed in public with beautiful words that is not from the heart. Then my friend, it was hypocrisy. And to that you should repent in secret.

You can pray in public :)

You are the righteousness of Christ.

Jesus prayed in public.

Make sure that you are doing it out of edifying the saints and communicating with the Lord. ...not with vain repetitions (G945).

G945
βαττολογέω
battologeō
bat-tol-og-eh'-o
From Βάττος Battos (a proverbial stammerer) and G3056; to stutter, that is, (by implication) to prate tediously: - use vain repetitions.

Prate:

Prate (Blether, Prattle) Noun
idle or foolish and irrelevant talk

Prate (Blabber, Chatter, Gabble, Palaver, Piffle, Prattle, Tittle-Tattle, Twaddle) Verb
speak (about unimportant matters) rapidly and incessantly

Jas 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Jas 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Jesus prayed in public and so did his disciples. It is your heart God looks at, sincere and full of love...that is how we should pray.
It doe not matter how or where. I pray you will be filled with wisdom and peace. In Jesus name amen
