It's praying that 'good spirits give me strength to resist the influence of evil spirits.'? That did not seem like a biblically based prayer.

Please read Colossians 1 and put your faith in it especially:verse 13Who HATH delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

This is all you need, to put your trust in the finished work of Christ.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

So renew your mind......memorize verses of truth to refute the thoughts you face. Write them down and carry them with you so that you can memorize them and recite them whenever you need to.
