This may not be reflecting you
But if this poem’s projecting you
Then please do not reject its truth
To whom this may concern
Pardon me
But it’s hard to see
That you worship a God who parted seas
Because when I look at your lives
I often see a part of me
I would prefer that you would be a blaze of fire
In recognition of the Son burning with the intensity of the sun
But on examination I find contamination
While searching for a blazing fire I have yet found a lukewarm soul that’s an amazing liar
If not enflamed then it is better that you bear not Christ’s Name
I would rather you be as the frozen tundra
Arctic
But your lackluster temperature makes God’s heart sick
And thus Christ shall spew you out of His mouth like mucus
Because the hard truth is a halfway Christian is useless
Please allow me for a second to pose a quick question
What is the value of your Christian confession if there’s no actual connection?
See you can live your whole life behind a faulty perception and phony impressions
And never actually have connection
To whom do you believe receives the benefit of your half-heartedness?
Speaking of the Lord’s victory over His enemies but not knowing that you are who the target is
Do you presume to think the world has profited from your inability to choose a side
Being a part time Christian is equivalent to suicide
Many will approach the Lord’s door
Proclaiming
Lord, Lord did we not do many great works in thy name
And in thy name cast out demons
And He will look upon them with His ferocity steaming
Exclaiming I never knew you
Depart from me you worker of iniquity
And we often don’t see that our lives are a rejection of Christ’s divinity
And often we don’t recognize our own haughtiness
Because though some of you presume that I’ve addressed this poem to the wring audience
I am fully aware that some of are in a position of lukewarmth even if it isn’t obvious
See I need you to pardon me
Because in one’s own self it’s often hard to see
But in this crowd I see of a part of me
I professed to be a Christian audibly
But my lifestyle denied it arguably
Through my lips I adored the Christ
But in my heart I had aborted Christ
See maybe some, none, or one of you today
Are living lives this way
Proclaiming to be servants of Yahweh
With a heart that desires to live my way
Singing Sunday hymns and proclaiming the name
But on Monday’s singing Drake and Wayne
Thinking that announcing “God is love” is an escape for His just punishment
God see’s through the heart of every look of lust
Late night thought and malicious intent
Every rejection of correction and and refusal to repent
Partaking in hedonism
But calling spiritual discipline legalism
While still believing that attendance of church and performing good works
Are enough without ever experiencing spiritual birth?
Drinking a cocktail of failed obedience
Mixed in with hell’s ingredients
In cultural Christianity thinking your place is safe among the saints
Awaiting the day of your escape
Thinking your confession is pure
When your condemnation is the only thing secure
This is the definition of lukewarm and I’ve been there
Trapped in a snare
Thinking I was Christian
But my vision was impaired
This is what I need you to comprehend
This Christian walk is 24/7 not pretend
If there is no sanctification to present
Than there is likely no justification my friends
This means if you’re not being made clean than you have been cleansed
And are still stained by original sin
See a lukewarm Christian might look the part
But won’t be accepted by God with a crooked heart
And Jeremiah 17:9 says the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked
So do not rely on its sinful condition
I don’t know your true spiritual condition
But this is an admonition for true repentance
That your confession be more than a vocal profession
But a life of connection dead to sin alive in the ressurrection
