I have read the book of Rev more than any other book in the Bible, but I struggled, like most,
to grasp the truth of what is there. For some 20+ years, i have read Rev at various times and listen
to many people teach/preach on the events mentioned in Rev. Yet, I would remember a verse or
two later, that would shoot down those teachings, because the verses just wouldn't fit and they
HAVE to fit. So, I took it upon myself to figure it out. When I finally thought I had it all figured out,
again, I would remember a few verses that would punch holes in what I formulated.

One night, I was really into trying to figure the book of Rev out. I had my Bible open and Bible
program going. I was really working my mind and again, I got shot down, but this time my mind was
really burned out. It was at the point of giving up cause you see it seems hopeless and you just can't
bring yourself to just make another try at it ever again. I got up and walked into my bedroom, with
all the questions still buzzing around my head, my mind is tired and stressed out, and thinking, "I'll
never figure it out...."

Then, right then, I felt like understanding and wisdom was just shoved into my head. I can't really
explain how it felt, it was more like an experience. It was like my mind expanded huge and then slowly
shrank back down again slowly. I could think clearly and had no more stress, and was highly focused.
Then the questions came to me, "Who were the 24 elders? Why were there "24"? and "What is
significant about the number 24, since numbers hold true throughout the Bible?" So I went back to
the Bible program and searched out the number 24. 1 Chron 24, is where I started.
And from there, I went through the Bible verifying all the info. It took me 45 minutes.

My feeling was, "Its SO SIMPLE! How was I NOT seeing it! How has no one else seen it!?"
Everything fit. It was like looking at a complex mathematical formula, and not having the slightess
clue how to sloved it, and then in an instance, that same complex formula looking like 1 + 1 =

God really gave me wisdom to see and understand what I have been struggling with for all those
years. It also showed me just how powerful He is. It was fast as a blink of an eye and it was there
in my head. I was amazed that so much was conveyed to me in is the snap of a finger.
The Holy Spirit is in me, but when He acted and gave me understanding, words can't really
decribe what it was like.

I now wonder, when God spoke to the prophets, in the OT, if it was something like I experienced.
My mind couldn't have come up with what I got. It would be a feeling of, "well, that sounds good,
is it really the truth?" However, when the Holy Spirit acts upon you, there is no doubt its true.

It's wonderful to have a revelation from the Holy Spirit. I know what it feels like.
May the Holy Spirit continue to reveal to you more and more as you continue to study his word!
