That is simple engagement that the enemy uses to keep us off balance and under the whip of the stronghold. It is also not uncommon to find aperson who picks up a demonic spirit through sin (such as fornication), and that demon uses its newly gained rights (or ability) in the person's mind to quickly build strongholds. This is asensitive area that people run from because of deception. They refuse to see the power of transferred spirits from their perceived act of illicit sex or intheir word their love. What a bunch of foolishness. Look folks you step in crap it stinks on your shoe. You step in sexual sins it sticks on your spirit and forms strongholds that must be broken wake up. Since the demon is able to influence the person from the inside now, it can get the job done much quicker.It is also possible to have strongholds in place because demonic spirits have attached themselves to you at some point or another, and need to be driven out.If you work hard at tearing down strongholds by applying the truths in God'sWord and this teaching, and yet you seem to hit a wall, it may be because ademonic spirit needs to be driven out. It is very possible (and not uncommon)to experience quite a bit of freedom through applying the real Godly principals in the word of God even if there is a demonic spirit present, but you will onlygo so far and feel like you're hitting a wall. Nothing gets better, frustration sets in,confusion comes, and you feel torn and want to run away.
That is a clear and honest sign of a demon at work that needs to be driven out. It can be awfullyhard to battle when they are working on you from the inside out. Resisting them from the outside is easy, but resisting them when they are on the inside can be extremely hard. That is why we need help and we sometimes refuse the help from the people God sends to us because our pride and emotions get in the way.
So we stay in the condition and struggle each day in a state of our choosing because we are in our own way. Refusing to let go of strongholds, refusing to walk in realness of obedience, refusing to accept ou rown faults then don’t you know that is deception people. If you seem to havereached an immovable mountain, you might want to consider the possibility ofneeding to have an unclean spirit driven out. This is not an uncommon. Not onlydoes the demonic spirit(s) need to be driven out, but the stronghold also needsto be torn down before the person will experience a complete breakthrough in any area of their lives and no matter how hard we try or convince ourselves w eare right we can’t go but so far till the sin has been dealt with.
There has to be a day of renunciation of all sinful acts and soulties and unbelief in order to truly move on, if not then we/youstill are being deceived and walking in the lie and deception of the stronghold. Stopping the act is not removing the stronghold! Strongholds play a big part of how we feel, I like to use myself as a case study because of all the hell I’ve caused myself and others on my way to Godliness. If we think we are a failure, we will feel like failures. Now consider this thought, we know the war is for our and in our mind for the most part. We tell ourselves we are ok, and all is well even when we know it’s not, we tell ourselves all sorts of stuff even deceiving our own souls sometimes so if our thinking is skewed then our progress is hindered .If we think our situation is hopeless and verbalize it,you/we will feel hopeless. If you/we know were forgiven, you'll/I’ll feel clean inside. If we constantly think of our past failures, we can then only see ourself as associated with them.
What if we begin right now seeing what God has done in us through Jesus, what if we just say no more to the devil and his strongholds right now this very instant and know and believe that you have been separated from your past when the Blood of Jesus has washed it away, you will feel bright and something in us pulling us back to the truth should scream out inside, Yes Lord I’m ready to let go of anything that holds me from you. Changing the way you/we think can make a big difference in the way you feel that is a truth the devil and his strongholds don’t want us to walk in. Now remember we must never forget that most all strongholds are built upon deception and lies that we'veaccepted into our minds. We must know everything we tell ourselves is not the truth. Just because you believe it or accept it will never make it THE TRUTH only a truth. Our truth for the most part is always wrapped in some form of a lie if God is not in it.
Now let’s rightfully divide that word. Am I a liar yes and so are you! Even if you say you’re not then you have been deceived. Look a cheater refuses to be called a cheater,a murderer wants to be called a man slaughterer, a thief wants to be called aabsconder of things so you know a liar doesn’t want to be called a liar do you like being called a liar? Well the liar in us is a spirit that is dormant until activated but it was placed in all of our old sin nature when we were separated from God in the Garden. If it has never been eradicated it lives within waiting for the right time to come out. And from time to time it climbs out of the window of our lips. So how do you counter a lie? How do you counter deception?With the truth, and not just any truth either.
Ephesians 6:17, "... sword of the theSpirit, which is the word of God 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, "For though we walkin the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfareare not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself againstthe knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to theobedience of Christ."
Have so many of us forgotten that we are told tocast down imaginations. What are imaginations one may ask and really have noconcept? They are things that we imagine, Duh like in our mind that has been filled with a lot of worldly views and our own tainted thinking, the devil usually plants them in our minds. We must get back to focus and get our mind on God's Word and off of what the devil is trying to tell you. Since God associates Himself with His Word (John 1:1), if anything comes into our minds that is contrary to God's Word, throw it out it is a stronghold seeking to take a root in us. Don’t waste your time thinking about it or trying to reason with it give it to the Holy Spirit to deal with.
