HOW DO WE PRAY........?!?
In those ancient days and now that we have Jesus......
David prayed one day....uttered in Psalm 139:
...........Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord , and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them enemies.
Psalm 139:21-22
God loves us from the beginning; He want just our best...
But through out the old testament, we know that the Jews had totally fail to follow His Direction and those 10 Commandments..
David was trying very hard to please God, in the way his own thought!
How awkward it was...
After long period of up and down, running after them, by sending prophets to warn them ....God finally sent us once for all Jesus to make all is done, with all that materials offerings.. Jesus is the OFFERING, once for all for all of us, for evertyhing!!
For some of us is still hard to accept, that there is nothing left to be done as just by faith in Jesus; not by work, because Jesus has everything what needed is already fulfilled, that we are saved!
And now Jesus asks: Love your enemies .....
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Matthew 5:44
And we haven't needed even to hate our enemies..because we are on the same position in the eyes of God, we are just differ by our faith to Jesus and what He has just done and fulfilled on the cross for everyone!
DO WE REALIZE WHAT THAT MEANS:
LOVE YOUR ENEMIES?
Jesus asks us to do so. Do wevlove Him enough to do, what He ask us to do?!?
He is able to make us able to do so!! Amen!
