Mark 1:30

Now Simon's mother-in-law lay ill with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.

Didn't know any of the Apostles were married...guess I was wrong...I put this under shocking scriptures, but also wanted to know if anybody else believed something else about this verse?

thers another verse somewhere Paul mentions Cephas leading around his wife with him on travels.

It's thought that Peter's wife was crucified alongside Peter as well.

So in line with modern day liberal preachers interpretation of this verse.. you've basically got Peter leading around his gorgeous wife saying "look guys, what wife God gave me, if you believe in Jesus you can have a great wife like this too". She has long blonde hair, blue eyes, tall and intelligent, and best of all she's "the one" for Peter .Or I bet Peter's wife was like Joyce Meyer all dressed up nice with a closet full of different shoes, nice jewellry and makeup prancing about the stage. lol no, I think Peter's wife got her hands dirty sometimes and wasn't so pretty that the Romans thought twice about crucifying her.

I'm guessing that most of the disciples were actually pretty young, probably late teens and early twenties. Keep in mind that it was customary for hebrew boys to learn the books of Moses (Torah) by heart by age 13.

I feel that the oldest were most likely Peter, who was obviously married, and Levi / Matthew who worked as a tax collector. Considering Matthews knowledge of government, it makes sense that he would be somewhat older.
