Washington State in the USA is voting on Referendum 74 regarding non-traditional marriage.

The first miracle Jesus of Nazareth was to bless a public wedding with a bit of wine--180 gallons of it! That's quite a celebration and quite an endorsement. At the same time, He didn't approve of people being stoned for their sins, and saved one woman from public death by stoning when she was caught in adultery, and another, despised by the Pharisees as a public sinner, was forgiven and blessed spiritually, and publicly in front of the religious leaders, for one of the most amazing and beautiful expressions of love and repentance in the Bible, anointing His feet with her tears and fragrant oils. Luke 7:36-50

Traditional marriage between a man and woman, something established since Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and blessed by the new Adam, Jesus of Nazareth, is the foundation of all civilization. It is established and blessed by God and there is nothing any vote or any public approval or non-approval can do to change it. Ever.
This is commanded in the Bible.
It is possible to support traditional marriage without persecuting those who choose non-traditional lifestyles. This is also commanded in the Bible.
 
Lol, name one reason non-traditional marriages will hurt anything? Christian already have the same divorce rate and secular marriages, cheating is just as rampant. So everytime I hear someone say stand up for traditional marriage I laugh. You know what changes for me if jim and steve can get married absolutely nothing. and the same should be said for everyone else.
 
don't you ever sleep?? I just wanted to be careful not to sound judgmental-- the Lord is the friend of sinners, of whom I am worst...
I'm not a stone-thrower. I just have a right to take a stand in a liberal area and vote for traditional values. I don't believe in persecuting people who are already suffering-- I know what it's like to suffer, alone, and socially outcast of sorts, due to mental health challenges...
 
I just think while people living by christian values is of course commendable using them to create laws to then enforce the same values on an unbelieing public is wrong.
