Rev 1
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—
things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified
it by His angel to His servant John, [SUP]2 [/SUP]who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Blessed
is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it;
for the time is near.
Rev 3:20
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Rev 3:22
[SUP]22 [/SUP]“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”
Rev 19
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the[SUP][
d][/SUP] Lord God Omnipotent reigns! [SUP]7 [/SUP]Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” [SUP]8 [/SUP]And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Then he said to me, “Write: ‘
Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”[SUP]10 [/SUP]And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See
that you do not
do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
He was telling them of a real actual spiritual event about to happen in their time.
He said it was going to shortly take place.
He said the time was near.
He said he was as close so as to be right at the door and knocking!
I don't know how much clearer he could have been to indicate that the spiritual event was just about to happen.
What was that event?
Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!
Rev 3:20 mentions dining.
Connect the dots.
What's that mean for us today?
We are in an amazing fellowship and dining with Jesus.
He's been victorious over his enemies.
So come, sit at the table, and fellowship with our Savior, and his people.
