I recently found out that guys dont really like girls that punch them in the middle of a restaurant.

Anyway.... guess what people. I am single again! :D

Did you expect him to pick you up and throw you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes then bring you back to his cave and stay with you forever?

No, I actually expected him to show me respect. That is why i punched him. I was also trying to stop smokign at the time and was a bit on edge.

Anyway, I am not a violent person, but I do have buttons that will be pushed. If you dont respect me then you going down!

Hmmm, well then, on a serious note. My sister always tells me that I have no self-respect because I don't care if someone "punches" me.

I dunno... if it doesn't hurt me, what do I care? Then again, not much does.

Anyways, I'm not sure about a girl punching me in the face or "below the belt" but otherwise might not be a terrible thing?

Thanks, Garden. I'll need all the luck I can get :) And if you want a guy like your dad and your dad is a good model, he may be a good matchmaker (*rolls eyes*) more so than your mom could be. And please don't follow the example or advice of most people your age or let peer pressure play any part in your choosing a soulmate (or letting a soulmate choose you)... not in this age. Sorry, I'm just being honest!

Elizabeth, that's funny. You should've taken him outside the restaurant first! But seriously, I don't think guys like girls who punch them anywhere. My friend was recently punched about a year ago. He got over it though... 'cause they're married :p

Lol! My dad has already tried to set me up with guys and the funny thing is they are nothing like him.
I hit my bud Jake all the time. Maybe I should keep it up, since I have no desire to date him. lol but he always threatens to hit me in the boob. :) Maybe that's why we get along so well.

Daughters want guys like their fathers, so, at least let your dad know one real good reason why he keeps striking out, gardenia :D

What did that guy do, elizzy, that made you become muhammed ali? :D

Punching somebody shows immeasurable respect for them. I don't know why he didn't respond in kind; violence should have totally worked to your advantage.
Guys are so hard to understand. ~Sigh~

Garden, I agree with AAA on page one, when you get all dolled up and looking as sharp as you can, you are probably intimidating the guys around you tremendously. People are very self conscious and their better judgement probably says "that girls to beautiful to be single" and they don't want to get shot down, that hesitation may be all it takes for them to miss the moment, then they are kicking themselves for missing what they later believe could have been an opportunity.... and no.. of course thats never happened to me lol.. So do you're future husband and yourself a favor and keep yourself naturally and casually beautiful so that he will have the confidence to approach you. I also agree with those who have posted that natural beauty is by far superior to superficial beauty. I have often said that what truly makes a woman beautiful cannot be added to or removed by makeup. :)
As far as what guys want in a woman? I can only speak for myself, but I've seen a few on here who seem to agree. If I could find a woman like you I'd be set. :)

Garden, it seems your dad falls short in matchmaking then like most men. Well, maybe you can just kick it with Jake in the meanwhile... till you find out he's the one! Or maybe not. The fact is that sometimes, what we want is right in front of us while we go after what we can't have. We can want what we can't have when we don't feel as valuable as we already are, and having what we don't already have tells us we have that value we feel we lack. Problem here is that our 'wanter' (that part of us that wants just a little more even when we have all, as Rockefeller said) is never satisfied. When we are in 'wanter' mode, we can't see what we want when it's right there in front of us, because our 'wanter' wants more than we want. Whatever comes easy seems less valuable than what comes with effort. But that can translate to marriage: staying with one's spouse comes easy, and sleeping with someone else takes more effort; so, that mindset can definitely cause problems in marriage for anyone. We live in a society right now where more is it and bigger is better. Divorces spring out of these beliefs/feelings when one or more feel they deserve more than their mate (or when one or more seek in someone else something their spouse is lacking). Remember the old Mother Goose story about the heron that was left with a tiny fish that couldn't satisfy him, because he felt he deserved a great big meal and let the big (but not big enough) fish get away as he waited for 'the right one'. Don't miss the best one. Time really does fly. And, I bet Jake wants to make it an open-palm hit when he finally makes good on his threats. Jake, you bad boy. Maybe Jake's heart looks like this when he's around you----> :p You never know :)
