What do we intend to get in the future?
• Pro 19:20 -> “Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.”.
This depends on what we invest our life now. Your future will come out of your innermost being. It comes the question: what are we treasuring in our heart (Mat 12:34-37)? After all:
• Gal 6:7-10 -> “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”.
It’s simple: we reap what we sow and someone only can sow the seed that they have. How can someone, for instance, speak about history if they never read books about this? How can someone speak about spiritual things if they dally on watching soap operas, soccer, humoristic programs, etc.? How can someone does something good if they only spend time in bad things?
• Jer 13:23 -> “Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots? Then also you can do good who are accustomed to do evil.”.
• Amo 3:10 -> ““They do not know how to do right,” declares the LORD, “those who store up violence and robbery in their strongholds.””.
So, have a good day making the best use of the time (Eph 5:16; Col 4:5), so that you only can have in your heart what is good. Recollect that this influences our tongue, which nobody can control (James 3:8). Therefore, if we have only good things in our heart, it is unfeasible that the evil can come out of you.
