What do you serve the Creator for? Because you love the cult in your congregation or because you long for being transformed by His love? (Part 2).
Continuing the message of yesterday:
To cover an offense isn’t hide the misdeeds. Who tried to do this paid a great price:
• Act 5:7-10 -> “And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.”.
What we ought to do is to seek in Jesus the forgiveness of the sins (seek in Jesus for the covering of the sins through His blood):
• Psa 32:1 -> “Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.”.
And the best way to achieve this is through the fulfillment of His love through us:
• 1Pe 4:8 -> “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.”.
• Pro 10:12 -> “Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.”.
After all, when we manifest Christ’s love, we stir up in us and in the people good feelings and thoughts, which occupy all the emptiness that at other time tormented them with dissolutions and addictions (Eph 4:17-19).
So, instead of taking part with the dishonest man and whisperers, have a good day making them to abash with the beauty of the holiness and purity in you. After all:
• Pro 16:28 -> “A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.”.
