D
I return from my long and fruitless journey;
My head spinning and my heart burning.
I ache to find what I long for most;
What I have for searched from coast to coast.
I sulk, my shoulders slumped and voices tease me.
I scan the room wildly, looking for something to save me.
A voice calls out, almost drowned by the ones that sting and hurt;
This one is calm. "Come to me." It orders, loud and curt.
I do as It says, I imagine my troubles taken away.
I feel my heart lift and my soul soar;
This type of love I have never felt before.
Angels sing and doves take flight;
For my heart aches no more tonight.
I have found my savior, friend, and knight;
My Lord and King, Jesus Christ.
I bow on one knee and beg for His forgiveness;
And pray to the Father I had put all my heart in this.
Though no words can describe His glory;
I surely do try and all for His story.
My head spinning and my heart burning.
I ache to find what I long for most;
What I have for searched from coast to coast.
I sulk, my shoulders slumped and voices tease me.
I scan the room wildly, looking for something to save me.
