What is it missing in your life?

  • “And from the daughter of Zion all her *beauty* is departed: her princes are become like harts that *find no pasture*, and they are gone without *strength* before the pursuer.” (Lamentations 1.6).

Be a complaisant person in relation to Jesus Christ and certainly His happiness will confer to you all strength that you need:

  • “Then he said to them, Go eat the fat and drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our LORD. And do not be sorry, for *the joy of Jehovah is your strength*.” (Nehemiah 8.10).

And this strength will make you beauty:

  • “*A merry heart makes a cheerful face*, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.” (Proverbs 15.13).

If you aren’t finding “pasture”, that is, your “bread”, one of two things:

1 – either you aren’t seeking it:

  • “Ask and it shall be given to you; *seek and you shall find*; knock and it shall be opened to you.” (Matthew 7.7).

2 – or you are seeking what isn’t for you to find:

  • “From where do wars and fightings among you come? Is it not from this, from your lusts which war in your members? You desire, and do not have. You murder, and are jealous, and cannot obtain. You fight and war, yet you have not because you ask not. You ask and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it upon your lusts.” (James 4.1-3).

Pants after Jesus and you will find much more than you can imagine:

  • “As the hart pants after the water brooks, so my soul pants after You, O God.” (Psalms 42.1).
  • “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4.19).

After all, Jesus promised to give you what you really need:

  • “Give us this day our daily bread;” (Matthew 6.11) – THIS IS A PROMISE!!! (see also Matthew 6.33)

So, stop of muttering about the prosperity of your enemies! Let Jesus be truly your shepherd (Psalms 23.1), and the provision of Jesus for your table and of oil for your head will be so copious (Psalms 23.5) that your enemies will realize that Jesus is with you (see Acts 4.13; 1Corinthians 14.24,25), will see it and fear, and will trust in the Creator (Psalms 40.3) and you will herd them as your blessing (1Peter 3.8,9).
