Women in hollywood just keep seeping out of the "woodwork" with some tell of abuse. As a woman I think it is false, another way to get your name out there, make money, but destroy men's' lives. Even if it's true is "ok" to speak up 10,15,20 years later? What is the time limit to destroy lives (not talking legal statute of limitations).

A couple of thoughts.

There may be people who are jumping on the band wagon and pointing abuse
just because everyone else is. Who think a wink, tap on the shoulder, an occasional
word or innuendo is abuse.

Two - as far as I can see a lot of Hollywood is based on, you be nice
to me and I will get you a part in my movie.
Two wrongs don’t make a right. People can say no, if they say yes they are either young or
naive, happy to play along, or maybe flattered and happy to play. The young/naive category
may have certain grounds for pointing out abuse, depending on age and circumstances - if
they were controlled or manipulated etc. So if a 16 year old was manipulated by an older
man for example.

Then there are the outright genuine abuse cases, where someone has been genuinely harmed.
The effects last a whole person’s life and due to shame, blaming self, lack of confidence, hurt etc
people may not want to report it at first. It may take time for them to understand the hurt caused.
It may take time for them to realise it was not their fault. The memory and pain lasts a life time
so yes, I would say the perpetrator can be brought to justice at any time. Besides where it has
happened once, it often exposes a lifetime of abuse behaviour. Who would now want such people
brought to justice.

We have a well known case over in the UK. Jimmy Saville, who on the surface was a champion of
children, did charity work, TV presenter, radio presenter etc. He was untouchable everyone thought
he was a good guy.

Then he died an old man and the accusations started, it came to light he had been a
serial abuser for years but no one dared to speak out about him as he was very popular.
So no one thought they would be believed.

Did you know that in years past actors were viewed as of low social standard, much like prostitutes? Actors were seen as lacking in morals and acting wasn’t viewed as an actual job. They were more like cheap jesters, mimes and circus clowns.

What has happened since then to seduce the public into idolizing these performers as if they were almost gods?

What I don't get is that so many of these actors agreed to do ungodly things (the "casting couch") to kick-start their careers in Hollywood. They made that choice. They could have said, "No, if that's what it takes to be a movie star, I won't do it." But they didn't.

In some cases, it's like a prostitute who decides to make a better career change but also sue all the johns who patronized him/her along the way. It doesn't make sense.

And those who did say, "No!" still didn’t report anything because they didn't wanna risk their careers. So they allowed these creeps to continue their deviant schemes, even when they knew child actors were being victimized. All for a buck.

Even some parents risked their own children's safety by handing them over to these creepy movie producers for money.

But aren’t we just as guilty for buying into the entertainment industry?

If you're not talking about man's law, then you must mean God's law, making it a sin/forgiveness problem. I don't think Hollywood knows anything about that.
