What is your entertainment?
Carnival will come very soon (at least here in Brazil). To you that dwell in other country, certainly there are worldly celebrations along the year. When the time is arrived, what will our plans be?
*First hypotheses*: we will join together in the festivities (with the excuse that we are there to gain souls to Jesus and be light in the middle of the murkiness);
*Second hypothesis*: although we won’t attend the places where these events take place, we will make feast in our home or in the house of a friend;
*Third hypothesis*: we will take advantage of these opportunities to rest;
*Fourth hypothesis*: we will seek out in Jesus make difference where we will be and assist people that, regrettably, give in to this salacious demeanor.
I hope that everyone of us can choose this last one. Considering that only the Creator’s blessing enriches without bring pains, certainly after the elation of the moment, will follow great feeling of loss, loneliness, dereliction, etc.
So, although the joy of the wicked is to belittle or spite someone, may our delight be to learn wisdom amidst what they live (afflicting our righteous soul in virtue of their lewd deportment – see Jeremiah 9:18; 14:17; Joel 2:12-17; Daniel 9:20; 2Peter 2:7) and be used by Jesus to manifest His Favor toward them, even though they don’t have any merit.
Have a good weekend filling your mind and spirit of all necessary armor to quell all the ruses of the enemy in this holiday that is coming up.
