Yes.
Because Jesus was the unblemished sinless lamb of God. He was the last blood sacrifice on the altar, cross, for the worlds sins. Taking them upon himself there.
What is it that our heavenly Father is accomplishing by receiving Christ's sacrifice for our sins? Why is God's Kingdom to be placed on earth for its specified time?

The Epistle of 1st Corinthians 15:20 But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of them that are asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in [m]Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; then they that are Christ’s, at his [n]coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to [o]God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be abolished is death. 27 For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. [p]But when he saith, [q]All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him. 28 And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.

The Book of Isaiah 2
tells us the Messiah will establish world peace. Enemies will beat their swords into plow shares.
The Book of Isaiah 32
That this didn't happen when Jesus was first here is what some Rabbi's teach as evidence that Jesus was not their Messiah of prophecy. They thought all prophesied of Messiah would happen at once.
The Book of Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee; he is just, and [i]having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass. 10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off; and he shall speak peace unto the nations: and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

This will restore peoples worship of the one God.
And when God's earthly kingdom arrives, as all kingdoms have their capital center, it shall be in Jerusalem, as prophesied. The Book of Jeremiah chapter 3
