I'm curious what peoples opinions of what angels do are. I've had some interactions with an angel as a child, and have seen what they can do. It totally contradicts how the church portrays them. One instance I saw was navy SEALs getting angels when an enemy contacted them from shore. The SEALs were on a boat, and returned fire. Angels added 12 bullets to each side of every bullet that the SEALs fired, making a solid line of bullets, or a "saw". They would literally go right thru a human, cutting off limbs, heads, and cutting torsos in half. If they hit a tree, something will come out of the other side of the tree and the tree might be pushed over in the direction of the "enemy". After the boat turned around to leave, one enemy stood out and was going to shoot at their backs, and his heart was removed from his chest and dropped in his lap before he hit the ground. The navy SWCCs are probably more prone to get angels. I watched a video on them and they don't shoot until contacted from shore. I'm sure they're aware. Another instance of an angel, was a man who committed murders. A spirit possessed me as a child, and went to a man who killed people, though he wasn't a random murderer who acted on violence or anything. I don't remember what his circumstances were, but he got an angel because he wasn't going to serve god upon death,so of course having an angel got him some sex. There was a certain circumstance, i doubt this would ever happen to someone who just commits a random murder or does it for personal reasons. I'm curious what people think about what angels do.

Wow, it sounds like the angels could never do their job without the Department of Defense.

The angels must be relieved.

Angels (if we are speaking of Heavenly Angels) do the Will of their Creator. As He instructs them to do. No more, no less.

Fallen Angels............do the will of their master as he instructs them to do.

(in all honesty, I can't comment on your OP)

God bless

Lol. Conceptions of what angels do is either "hidden" and secretly talked about, or people haven't an idea what they're capable of. I feel strange being a guy and having seen what angels do.

The enemy is us, rebels against God until we have been reconciled thru His blood...

Colossians 2:18-19 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

Of course I don't know what Angels are up to but I would think they responded to the Word of God. Who know what all that would involve!

Hebrews. 1:14. Are not the angels all ministering spirits sent out in the service
Of those who are to inherit salvation?

Isn't it obvious? They're watching us wondering why we act so strange and make so many silly decisions. They most likely have popcorn with "I can't believe it's immaterial" butter to enjoy while watching the show. ;)

When my son was born (19 yrs ago), he didn't breath. They rushed him to neo-natal and everyone followed (except me, of course). My mother & mother-in-law were both there. My mother-in-law swears that after a while another nurse walked in and the lights all became brighter and my son breathed. She believed an angel came in with that nurse to help Dale.

That is what I found. I communicated with two when my daughter was born, two of them were helping with the birth. There was a change in the light in the room. They don't talk like we do, it was like knowing what they were thinking. I was so hurt that they didn't know me, I thought God sent me a personal angel. One told the other that she couldn't understand why humans cry! I guess they know that God cares and takes care of us, that we are here only a short time.

These two had a special job to do with the birth, and they were under strict rules. I saw two when my Dad was dying, too. These were helping him go from one kind of life to the other.

Both times I asked them to do something special for me, and both times they said they could only do it with special permission but they would ask for it. Both times they got permission. I think that must happen sometimes when we pray for something special.

listening to a teacher at a promise-keepers convention (remember those?) i was convicted of sin and full of self-loathing. a man behind me put his hand on my shoulder, leaned in and told me i was forgiven, though i hadn't said anything aloud or given any physical indication of my internal distress. i was immediately filled with an overwhelming sense of the mercy of God and a feeling of thankfulness and release -
and when i turned to look behind me, there wasn't anyone anywhere within 15 rows of bleachers that looked anything like the man i had seen.
this wasn't a man.
i've had visions of our Lord too, and it wasn't Him either, but had His spirit.

The word “angel” actually comes from the Greek word aggelos, which means “messenger.” The matching Hebrew word mal'ak has the same meaning.
If we seek the word we will be furnished with the truth about angels and what they do so our opinion is no longer nesessary because of what the bible says is the truth we follow about angels.

The Bible does speak about classes of angelic beings like cherubim (Ezekiel 1) and seraphim (Isaiah 6). We also know the names of two notable angels: Michael (Daniel 10:13; Jude 9) and Gabriel (Daniel 9:21; Luke 1:19,26).
The unnamed angels who appear most often in Scripture carry out a variety of tasks—all designed to serve God…

 • ExecutionersAngels are sometimes used by God to punish sin. An angel of the Lord went forth and smote an Assyrian camp (2 Kings 19:20-34)—“behold, they were all dead corpses.” The Assyrian army was annihilated. A destroying angel was sent, but later withheld, to punish David for his vanity in taking a census of the great number of his people. At the time of Moses and the Exodus, the Egyptian firstborn where killed by an angel of death. We have managed to apply our own angel thoughts that are not scriptural but that is between each person and God. I wont touch that.

What do angels do??
Well everyone knows that!

They wear long dresses and have white wavy hair, they are all handsome, and take part in movies. They pick 'good' people up as they take their last breath and take them up to the light. While wicked demons grab the 'wicked' as they take their last breath and take them struggling and screaming down below, where the stench of sulphur fills the air and flames leap hungrily for the coming mortal to torment him for eternity. While cherubs sit and play their harps, at least when they are not twanging their bows and winging arrows to lovers hearts.

Forgive my levity! :)

-----------------------

Seriously:-

* The Bible tells us what we need to know about angels, principalities and powers etc., and no more. It is not for us to speculate, or go beyond what is written in the Word of God.

* I know one things that angels are doing at this present time! They are learning of 'the manifold wisdom of God' as they witness God's amazing grace to fallen man. Why do I say that? Because God tells us so in Ephesians 3:10

'Unto me, (Paul)
who am less than the least of all saints,
is this grace given,
that I should preach among the Gentiles
the unsearchable riches of Christ;
And to make all men see
what is the fellowship of the mystery,
which from the beginning of the world
hath been hid in God,
who created all things by Jesus Christ:
To the intent that now
unto the principalities and powers
in heavenly places
might be known by the church
the manifold wisdom of God,
According to the eternal purpose
which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:'

(Eph 3:8-11)

Praise God!

I agree with Pastac, except in regard to this point. For the story of the rich man and Lazarus, is taken by our Lord from Pharisaic tradition to expose the hypocrisy and doctrine of the Pharisees for what it was. It is not a reflection of what takes place at death for any man.

Hello 78Jon,

With respect, I think you have every right to feel strange.
For your accounts are worrying.
This is not 'normal' by any stretch of the imagination.

You need to see a doctor.

Well I can't say I have personally seen an angel with my own two eyes. Though I have done a bit of study on possibility of angels and possible evidence of them (UFO conspiracies basically). So I will say that your account in the OP is highly interesting to me and I am wondering if you saw these things first hand or in video or via someone else's testimony.

I do believe in angels even though I have never witnessed them firsthand. My assumption on how angels should behave based off the Bible is simply they are messengers and/or servants. It is possible Biblically that some do not follow God and thus in my logic are not true angels, I suppose one would use the term fallen angel. I would say a true angel does only what they are told by God. I don't believe people should worship the angels according to the testimony of many people in the Bible and even the angels themselves in the Bible. So whether or not the angels are highly active or less active in today's world is not too big of a concern since God is clearly more important.

I would say first hand. This meaning the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost has the capability to show a person an incident like they are right there. I got shown ALL, and actually was shown a green beret named Jerry Shriver in Vietnam. I saw it like I was sitting right there present. While I was seeing what was going on, and repeating it out loud, an ex army ranger who served in Vietnam was standing in front of me listening (he was there in real life, not in the vision). The ex ranger broke down crying when he heard that Shriver was saving lives, and an angel or angels knocked or slapped down 40 bullets for him throughout his 3 years straight in Vietnam. The way I saw Jerry Shriver was running through the woods with a grenade in his hand. The pin was pulled and he didn't know what he was going to do with the grenade. Bullets got knocked down that were shot at him. The ex ranger also found out he had 2 bullets slapped/knocked down for him also. Jerry Shriver never came home from the war though. I know there are drawings of him drawn by the Holy Spirit, drawn in the early 1980's. Someone has the drawings in their possession and I hope they will make it to the Airborne/Special Forces museum or Vietnam museum.
