Here's one of the superlative aspects of my faith, one of the best moments of my life so far.. when I became a Christian
I was cycling home from school, it was a beautiful summer's evening and I said 'I know you're there' to God. I felt what can best be described as an infinitely huge and loving energy it seemed to last for ages
it was probably only a second or two but time seemed to slow down. I thought 'oh it's gone' and I got another little glimpse smaller than the first time, almost like teasing me to seek God and turn to him. What a wonderful day, I was immediately sure of the existence of God, and have felt this love in a smaller way often since
I felt this again in Athens in a church, a few people were praying and there prayers worked, a priest was chatting and patting a little boy on the head, I became aware of the presence of the holy spirit, and burst into tears. My friend took me outside and said 'I know what it's like, the incense got in your eyes!' he was kidding and the joke was on me
