After reading Is. 9:1-7 I had a new perspective on why
the name Christ is offensive to many at Christmas or any
other time for that matter.

Christmas is main issue here so let me share my thought.
The Word CHRIST in Christmas is offensive because He
is the Light of the World. When Light shines in the dark
areas, it is actually shining into evil places. Remember
darkness does not like Light. People do not like to have
the things they do in the dark, exposed.

Thank YOU Lord for being the Light of the World. For
guiding us and showing us the way. When danger is ahead
You are there to protect us by way of warning or walking
us through.

CHRISmas Blessings to all ~ Blessed be the name of the Lord.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Thou hast multiplied the nation, thou hast increased their joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]For the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, thou hast broken as in the day of Midian.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For all the armor of the armed man in the tumult, and the garments rolled in blood, shall be for burning, for fuel of fire.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

When God first gave of His light to the world, on the first day God records of creation, the translators didn't have a word for the kind of light God gave. God's light has to do with peace, contentment, knowledge, abundance of all things, and goodness. It was on the fourth day that God created the sun and moon.

The attributes of our physical sun has so much in common with the light of Christ.
