I have found myself many times in my life making me a question "Why?"
Why this happened or why not?
Why this person did or said this or why not?

And almost all the time i have needed to answer that question to be able to heal and/or forgive. I think this question is a natural reaction of all as humans.

But i read this versicle : Philippians 3:13-14 "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus"

And then i just realized that we dont have to answer "why" to all the hard times in our lives, we only need to forget and move on. (i know...i know...maybe all saw this versicle, but give me a break lol i just found it and im surprised about it :D )

What do you think about it?
Have you needed to answer that question to heal or forgive ?
What other versicles could help to deal with the "why" in our lives?

I think it's okay to ask "Why?", but it can be bad to dwell on it. God just didn't intend on us knowing the answer to every "why?" in life. Sometimes you just have to accept that and trust that He knows best. We don't have the answers, but we know the one who does.

Sometimes as time goes on, and we grow older, we do understand more of the "why?" for certain things, but not always.

Here are some verses I think of that go along with what I'm saying:

1 Corinthians 13:11-14

New King James Version (NKJV)

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Proverbs 3:5-6

New King James Version (NKJV)

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct[a] your paths.

Finally, one of my all time favorite parts in the Bible is in the book of Job. It's too long to post here, but it's when God is answering back to Job after Job questions so many things. It's Job chapters 38-42.
Here's a link if you want to read it online:

Knowing that God's ways are higher than mine I know that I won't always have the understanding of the "why", so I try to search for the "what can I learn from this?", and trust that He is working ALL things together for good in my life, even my dumb stuff. :)
