In 1980 something the world was also supposed to end, they made a book of the reason that it would end, a whole bunch of reasons. The world never ended. Not to say it won't end, but GOd is the one who will decide the day Jesus comes back to the Earth. Don't trust what the world has to say, they can't make a difference of when Jesus will come. Trust in God.

My take is the world will not end in 2012. Nonetheless, it's still a pointless debate. There is a reason that I feel this way and Garrison in an earlier post actually mentions it. The Bible says no man knows the hour, heck, Jesus didn't even know the hour. Therefore, if the Mayans said the world would end in 2012 then that would actually be them "knowing" in a sense that the world would end then. No, it won't.

Since the mayans believe that the world will end in Dec. 21 2012, I beilieve that is one day that the Lord will not come, because no man knows the day or the hour.
I think it will be sometime between now and the next 20 or 30 years with the fulfilling of the prophecies and the overwellming wickedness of the world. But that is just my point of view.

absolutely NOT! if us so called followers said we were followers then we would believe what the Word says.. it says no one know when that day will come but the Lord.. not even Jesus knows! ha.. i mean come on the mayans said that 2012 the world would end(those are the mayans) not God.. hellooo! NOT God. lol besides in 2000 scientists believed the world will end, and yet we are still here!
