Religion is based on man's attempt to reach God. According to the true gospel God came to man.
Many have sliced and diced Gods word down to its core and have reduced it to plup. A water down substance not fit for consumption.
Many have interpreted Gods word to fit there own understanding to remain in there own comfort zone.
Some have even gone as far as reinventing God.
The reformation of Gods word was one of the greatest things to happen but proved to have very troubling consequences.
As we are entering in to the final days there remains the question asked by pilate....what is truth? Which remains Unanswered.
These days will answer that question.

Amen! This is the stark contrast between the priesthood formed at Sinai and the priesthood of Melchizedek. The Levitical priests represented the people before God. The priests of Melchizedek represent God before the people. Wisdom and maturity, and growing in both, are products of walking with God, trusting Him, and being led by the Spirit. This process, in Christ, produces the sons of God (little 's') who are distributed among God's House. There is no short-cut for this, no Cliff's Notes. We cannot come to maturity by studying the Bible more (although that is important). We must walk with God and be led by His Spirit to become someone who can handle the responsibilities of God's House.

My concern was that understanding the Bible and knowing God/Christ not be divorced,
because it is by means of learning Scripture that we acquire the mind of Christ and deepen our relationship with God.
(Matt. 4:4, Eph. 3:16-19, 4:11-15)

"Every word" of God cannot be contained in the scriptures. That is why the scriptures offer many examples of the saints being led by the Spirit in the moment of their need. As part of the household of God, we should learn from them, our family members in Christ.
Don't divorce the Spirit of God from the life of the believer today.

I don't, and I am surprised no one has objected to me viewing various insights as Spirit-given.
I share a few insights that I have been given since joining CC on the thread with that OP.
Here are two:

First, There is no qualitative difference between faith that accepts God’s saving grace at conversion and faith that accepts God’s working grace while walking/living (Eph. 2:8-10, 1Cor. 15:10, 2Cor. 5:7, Rom. 1:17), but only a quantitative difference as each additional moment passes–and of course faith remains non-meritorious during the saint’s entire lifetime.

Second, 6. This creed summarizes revelation of the NT Gospel/Truth (Matt. 26:13, John 14:6), which fulfilled the OT revelation (Matt. 5:17, John 19:30, Heb. 7:11-10:10) and culminates the search for salvation by souls who know only general revelation (Rom. 1:20, 2:14-16, Matt. 7:12). Seeking begins when souls love truth/repent of false beliefs (2Thes. 2:10&13, Matt. 4:17, 7:7), which is the Way to eternal life God wills, who is the Lord Jesus (Matt. 7:14, John 1:14, 4:24, 14:6). Lacking this love leads to believing lies and debauchery (Matt. 7:6, Rom. 1:18&25-26, 2Thes. 2:11-12).
