Lost deep in my thoughts, I look at the cross and ask myself,
how could someone love me as much as You,
to die such a death, to save this sinful soul?
They crowned You with thorns,
mocking You, for claiming to be a king
their shame and filth showed, as they spit upon You.
You were beaten to Your knees,
and whipped over and over again
more than any man could ever bare...
Your blood trickled down Your body,
and I didn't know it then, but as You hung from the cross,

Who would be so selfless, to die for someone like me?

I can't imagine the pain You must have went through,
