You have to die in order to live. Don't let this confuse you, anyone who wants to live, must die first. In order for Abraham to live he had to die first. In order for David to live he had to die first. In order for Job to live he had to die first. Jesus had to die in order to live. Don't you know God is the God of the living, not the dead? YES! Indeed, if you don't die, you will not be able to live. What am I saying? Some people are alive but they are dead, and some people have died so that they can live.
Anyone who does sin is dead, and anyone who does righteousness is alive. But the righteous are dead to sin, all sinners are dead to righteousness. Since death came by sin by the will of one man, also Life came by righteousness by the will of another, Jesus Christ. So, anyone who wants to have the Life of Jesus Christ must first die to the flesh, and be alive to God. And anyone who wants to live in the flesh will die. THERE WILL BE WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH.
Now, what is there to fear if you are alive to God? Jesus overcame death for your sake. Now, what would he say if you return to the grave he saved you from? The soul that sins, it will die. But the person who follows after righteousness, will live. May Jesus bless you.
