Microsoft have given me a new surface laptop for free to keep so i can evaluate it.
It has a built-in "AI" button.

God, this thing is so stupid. Everyone is jumping on the "AI" bandwagon.

US Congressional staff members can no longer use Microsoft's Copilot on their government-issued devices, according to Axios. The publication said it obtained a memo from House Chief Administrative Officer Catherine Szpindor, telling Congress personnel that the AI chatbot is now officially prohibited. Apparently, the Office of Cybersecurity has deemed Copilot to be a risk "due to the threat of leaking House data to non-House approved cloud services." While there's nothing stopping them from using Copilot on their own phones and laptops, it will now be blocked on all Windows devices owned by the Congress.

Poor Cortana... Demoted to the villain of the Halo series, then replaced on laptops by Copilot. Rampancy or not, AIs have it rough.

They would be wise to remove Windows from all government-issued devices - opting instead for a unix/linux platform...

This here brings tears to my eyes.
The unique floppy sound on startup, the spinning of the CD-Rom drive, the crunching sound of the hard drive as Windows tried to boot up in 5 minutes or so.
The Windows 98 sound scheme.
Those were the days :cry:
