Our prayers are due all three branches of government, that not one of them will not succeed against God. It must be all three succeed to bring godly success to all of America. The Founders knew that. I agree a very small percentage of Americans actually embrace homosexuality, while some are trapped in that web wanting out. However, "on the street" I am not detecting a general acceptance of that. It appears people want to just avoid the issue, hoping it won't come home to them. Evil leaders have been attempting to force tolerance upon all of us, and now forces are rallying to force acceptance. But where are the headlines of large-scale acceptance? Acceptance is not toleration. Toleration is knowing something is not what you prefer, while acceptance is a welcoming, an agreement of sorts that something is now good that was once not welcome. I don't see the American public going for that like apparently most ancient Romans plowed into.

The Church slept through so many troubles since the 1960s, losing a huge slice of youth that are now suffering consequences of our negligence. I am seeing the giant body of Christ awaken, churches doing something about it. A pretty alarming challenge in Houston, the lesbian mayor going after preachers, has already been punched down by bold ministers rising up against tyranny. I will pray such responses grow to include all Christians joining the wrestling against evil. It's a shame the RCC is shrinking back from the bad breath of the enemy. It's interesting how many new church members have been switching to us from there. Some of them are catching on.

I wouldn't be surprised if more and more Republicans started jumping ship on the gay marriage issue. I already see signs of backing away and getting washy-washy about it. They'll want those Millennial votes! Not to mention many of the younger Republicans tend to lean more libertarian and as a result tend to be less interested in social conservative issues. I don't think the Republican Party of the near future is going to try to court evangelical Christians as it once did.

It would be very difficult to find a truly Christian politician. I don't think most people realize just how cut-throat and ruthless you have to be to gain any political power.

When I came back from the war in 1970 the United States was a different place from when I left in 1967. I wondered what had happened and starting searching scripture and American history. I found that the significant change started long before I was even born. The change began with the Civil War. I had heard a wise man say that history is always written by the winners of wars. This is true, for the Civil War was not over slavery. It became an issue 3 years after shots were fired on Fort Sumter in 1863. That's when the Emancipation Proclamation was ratified but only freed the slaves in the rebellious states rather than any slave states that were fighting for the federals. Shots were fired on Fort Sumter because Lincoln blockaded the shores of South Carolina because of their refusal to pay tariffs for their exports for the purpose of subsidizing businesses in the north.

The same is true concerning Biblical principles that are skewed by denominations. Since my return to the United States I have noticed a decline in the moral values that I grew up in. I have concluded that the Holy Spirit is not being allowed to direct this society as He once was. So many denominations have preached the annihilation of the law given to Moses that we no longer have an inkling of how to govern ourselves. The purpose of the law given to Israel was to govern themselves and possess the land given to them by God. By preaching against those concepts, we seal our fate, not being able to maintain our inheritance likewise. The Bible clearly says that "the law is for the lawless" but the church of today has no idea how to exact it because the ministry says it has been abolished through Christ. Saying that faith and grace makes the law inert is actually denying God's grace and makes the gift of faith inactive. Henceforth the coming judgment is inevitable.
