Do your prayers have no power?
Prayer is a form of communication/contact with a higher power(God). Praying to the saints is strictly forbidden by God. God strictly states that contacting the dead is forbidden. That means praying to Mary. She is dead. Let her rest in peace.

Also, God is no respecter of persons so putting her higher than other other Christians is wrong. She did a wonderful thing. She brought our savior into the world but she was still human. Still a sinner. Still from the tainted bloodline of humanity we all came from. She should be honored no more than any other Christian who lived a holy life. That does not mean praying to her.

[SUP]Rev. 2:20 [/SUP]Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
