I don't have a good answer, but I'd just like to let you know that the 's' on the end is redundant. THe Hebrew suffix '-im' indicates pluralism 
I believe the Nephelim were giants, Anak was descended from them (I think) and Goliath etc in turn were descended from Anak. I don't know where exactly they came from though.

My belief begins with Jesus saying that the angels neither marry nor give in marriage. I do not believe that the angels have DNA, nor that they are capable of procreating. Even in creatures of this world, extremely small differences in DNA make intermating impossible. Luke's geneology of Genesis ends with "Adam, the son of God". This is the same expression that I believe it to be using in Genesis. so the holy line through Seth are the sons of God and the unholy line of Cain merely the daughters of man.

One of the most important differences between man and angels is that we have the ability to procreate life. If the sons of God mentioned in the Bible were indeed angels, and God destroyed the world partly for what they did, then how could these same angels have possibly done it again AFTER the flood when these angels are reserved in darkness until judgement?

if you look at fossils from before the flood EVERYTHING WAS GIGANTIC - INCLUDING PEOPLE
