Not sure if i understand your question. Do you mean why are we told to ask God for/about things, but the answers are only according to His will?

Exactly. I'm always told pray and take your needs, desires, etc. to GOD.however when you do,you don't get it. If he's not okay with it then you can forget it

God doesn't always grant what we ask, but He always gives His children just what we need.

sometimes God asks us to wait patiently for His answer. (that's hard)
we're told to ask in Jesus' Name, which is asking according to His will.
(also often hard to figure out)

sounds like you're having trust issues? ♥

I don't trust him at all.but it's not just that. The bible is not true. I see contradiction. And too open for whatever the reader wants it to say

Ask for understanding and put sincere effort into it also. Then when we ask anything according to His will, (because we know His will after seeking it sincerely) we will receive what we ask for, because that's what He has wanted for us all along. We are unique to Him. He gave us the information we need in His word so we could know. We will not know His will concerning ourselves until we make and effort and study to show ourselves how we are seen in God's sight.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

"ashamed" = embarrassed

And you have verified these contradictions with in depth study and analysis? Or you read something that didn't make sense and assume there is error? Or perhaps heard someone else talk about contradictions and figure they must be right?
If you're going to make a statement like 'the bible is not true' hopefully, having come to this site, you have more to back it up with than parroting others or opinions formed with no efforts made to validate them.

So why are you wasting your time here, bothering with it? You need to settle THAT question for yourself before you begin to try to tackle all sorts of side issues.

I would keep asking . Here is one thing to keep in mind . He knows our hearts and knows us better than we knows our selves . He knows our Past, present and future. He just wants to keep us safe. If somethingss we ask for which we have to becareful what we ask could very easily lead us astray and that is not what he wants . Or even in the timing of our asking could very possibly be not the right time and happen later on life . Just keep your Faith and keep up your prayers and He will work things out the best way for you.! hope this helps!

God says in His Word that He only listens to those who ask in faith. If you don't trust Him why should you expect answers from Him. If or when you are ready to believe Him, He will answer your questions and may grant your requests.

All He has promised is that if you ask in faith for what He has told you to ask for; you are sure to get it.

And to answer your question. Yes..ugly. I came to this conclusion by reading for myself. I wasn't raised not to trust and believe. I have tried him for myself. And I have read the bible for myself

I didn't come on this site to be judged, put down. I asked a question that I wanted an answer to. I should have known better than to ask CHRISTIANS. You group of people are the most fault finding; most critical judges of all.thanks for allowing me to see once again that being one of you includes putting women down and attacking anyone who doesn't agree with you.

So, is THAT why you came here? Just so you could feel justified? I think there is more, but you will have to look inside yourself to discover what.

God is not to be tried for yourself like a bowl of soup. God NEVER invited YOU to try HIM on YOUR terms.

He has offered you truth and you can either fully accept or fully reject on His terms. He is not bound to do ANYTHING on your terms.
