Is it a sin for women to wear pants?

Good news is we are not bound to the Mosaic laws, that and the passage from Deuteronomy is referring to women acting like men and men acting like women.

Be content with how God made us, if He made you a man then you are a man, if He made you a woman then you are a woman !!!

1 Timothy 2:9 and 1 Peter 3:3-5 has duel meanings as it refers to they should wear modest clothing, and that to keep away from covetous practices.

I wonder what God things when his children spend their time telling others off for wearing pants while other of his children are tortured for believing in Christ

yes, still shameful according to 1corinthains 11 for men to have long hair and women to have short hair.

I think it is an absolute sin if they are baggy and loose-fitting. Now, nice and snug..... that's a gift from God.

I love how so far most has done nothing but make fun, or ridicule me for even having the audacity to post such scriptures and ask a question. maybe you should turn your anger toward Moses, apostle Paul and Peter for writing theses verses to begin with. do you get angry with the mailman when he delivers a letter you didn't want to receive?

Duet 22:5 "....for a woman not to wear that which PERTAINETH to a man"

how do you ladies feel about your husband wearing your dress to church? no? probably because a dress pertains to a woman

My wife told me that if I MUST continue to wear a dress to church, stick to a simple little black, "A" line. She doesn't think I can carry off much more.

The word religion means to bind and or tie down....a woman wearing pants is not a sin....the same religions that teach that also bind their people down under other religious dogma that has no basis in the word of God and to be honest amounts to religious fanaticism....who is angry....and no offence, but if you ask such questions you will get many replies...apply your mailman logic to your own response...are you angry that the answers you get are not the ones you were looking for? Trying to equate a man wearing a dress is not the same as a woman wearing pants that have been made for a woman....may I ask what is your religious background....there are about 4 to 6 "religions" that teach such things.....erroneously I might add....

Oh, c'mon. Surely you have learned by now that this poor little guy doesn't care about learning anything. He just tries to come up with as controversial a subject as he can.

I don't think it is a sin for a woman to wear pants. Does any where in scripture say that you will go to hell for wearing pants?
I think it looks much more modest and appropriate for a woman to wear a dress or skirt, below the knees too. I also do not think it is "cute" when they dress up boys in girls clothing and vise versa, for a play or any reason. I believe women should dress to represent themselves according to I Timothy 2:9. To look like women and not men. Also men should not dress to fool people into thinking that they are women.

How is it decided when mosaic laws apply or not?

I mean a man acting like a woman and laying with a man.

Why on one hand it's said to be OT and doesn't apply anymore and the other hand says it still does?


Is there a fine line. No line. Or black and white ????

Or opinion ?

How about men that wear or wore night gowns..... like Scrooge? Is'nt that the same concept in a way. He wasn't trying to look like a woman; he was just wearing a night gown made for a man....LOl

I think it is a sin if I dress up like a guy yes. But in Moses' day I don't think anyone wore pants, they had those robes. They still have that in Africa. Male and female robes. Here we have male and female pants. There are churches in Holland where the girls have to wear skirts, with a legging in the winter.
