Jesus yoke is easy specifically because He is the One doing the pulling.
Yes...things do get very difficult when we try to do things in our own strength no matter how good or religious they look.

This is different then this truth - "in the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer - for I have overcome the world".

I'm not trying to get under your skin, I'm trying to get you to think.
Well, I said, “Yes, I think the commandments aren't as difficult to follow as a lot of people think.” And I said, “The commandments are simple, though not easy to follow. It takes a little discipline.” Are you having difficulty reconciling these two statements?

not letting our heads 'roll' under certain circumstances if really a sign of 'maturity'...

1TH. 5:14.
Now we exhort you, Brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded,
support the weak, be patient toward all.

Experience tells me that it's hard to win a debate when you can't control your temper.
Perhaps when you get your temper under control then you will have better luck when you debate.

Jesus yoke is easy specifically because He is the One doing the pulling.
Interesting interpretation. If you know anything about yokes, you share the load equally
but the more experienced ox knows the path and how to handle it.
Yokes can be set for one ox or two. If two the load is taken between them.

I think as normal you take a good parable and make it so it does not work.
Jesus is saying we are brothers, equals taking on the load of life together, enjoying the
good and the hard times equally.

And the key point of Jesus and the gospel, the right perspective is everything.
Worries of this world eat people alive, whereas walking in love and freedom brings
liberty.

So I haven't figured out if you are among those who believe it's possible, or impossible, to obey the Lord.

When you misquote me, you can make me seem to be in error, but I think you'll find my statements to be true.
I quoted you exactly. And easy and difficult are still opposing concepts.

Resurrection........you are arguing with foolishness...........

Your statement made perfect sense......

Christ gave His Church certain Commandments........and they were quite straightforward and simple to understand. He did not speak in "code" as some here do.

And, yes, given that we are imperfect human beings, some of them can be difficult to keep/obey. As is obvious by the actions of this foolishness you are arguing with.

I, and I am sure - others here - understood your statement.

Forget this guy............don't waste your time playing his games.

They're not difficult to follow and they're not easy to follow. Thanks for clearing that up.

No, you didn't quote me exactly. As you can see, my real words were, "I think the commandments aren't as difficult to follow as a lot of people think," but then quoted me as just saying, "They're not difficult to follow."

Okay, I've proven you misquoted me. Was it an accident? I would say your credibility is on the line.
