Yes, I think the commandments aren't as difficult to follow as a lot of people think.
With Christ everything (all things) is possible but without him even the least becomes too hard to observe
Jesus is the true vine, if we unit in him then we will bear much fruits (means fruits of obedience) else nothing.

Thanks dear good friend FreeNChrist

What you said is true. Apostle Paul says that "Christ is our hope of glory" in all manner of our life. We are not in a position to accomplish anything as God desires by our own power, understanding and knowledge. But through Christ, " who has been promised to live in us" we will gain strength, help and guidance to walk towards holiness and righteousness which leads us to eternity.

Colossians 1:27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is*Christ*in*you, the hope of glory.

Gospel of John also told "without Christ we can do nothing" but when we are united in true vine "means Christ" then we are blessed in all our ways.
amen amen...

The commandments are simple, though not easy to follow. It takes a little discipline. But Jesus was pointing out it needs to be done. Thanks for the sarcasm.

They're not difficult to follow and they're not easy to follow. Thanks for clearing that up.

Mark 10:27Jesus looked at them and said, “Withman it is impossible, but not*with*God. For*all*things*are possible*with*God.”

we must always be careful when we feel the need to use sarcasm -
we must always ask ourselves and pray that it be for a beneficial purpose
for our Heavenly Father's purpose...

Sarcasm is cool and effective. What we must be careful of is to not think nonsense somehow makes sense.

"Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48
So what is so hard about it? Of a truth, it seems it would come naturally to those born of God....

We live in a culture of cynicism and unbelief.

Crucial to our walk is an open heart, repenting and dealing with sin issues, seeing the
cross and what it meant for Jesus to die upon it for me, to show me the way
not just everyone else, but face to face with me, flesh and blood.

It is why the turin shroud has interested me. All the wounds on it follow the
crucifixion account exactly. Such suffering is difficult to imagine, such dedication
and accepting of pain.

Love transforms our hearts as we work through what it means to be alive and
to be in other peoples shoes. When you know your own weaknesses and problems,
you begin to see the possibility of mistakes, of confusion, of sin, and of forgiveness.

Most of our sin comes from having a closed heart to God and a closed heart to
our neighbour. Once you start to follow Jesus and walk with Him everything changes.

But to the cynic, nothing changes, and to unbelief, it is just words.

God the creator has spoken. Take Him at His word, because at His word everything
came into being and has its being, so what He says is true.

When you understand, as Jesus made clear, that the standard that God demands of you is His own perfect character, it should make clear to you why trying to gain eternal life by following commandments is not just hard, it's impossible.

This is an very interesting point.
With an open heart, repentance, confession and faith in the cross, knowing Jesus and
walking in the Spirit in love, we become one with the Father and the Son.

So when we walk it is Jesus walking through us and in us.
It is not earning eternal life it is walking in the communion with the living God.

Let me help you out: There is a difference between being simple and being easy. Doing 100 push-ups is a simple concept. However, doing 100 push-ups isn't necessarily easy to do. So if Jesus asks you to do 100 push-ups, it is a simple command, though not an easy one to carry out, for most of us.

“Holiness, as taught in the Scriptures, is not based upon knowledge on our part. Rather, it is based upon the resurrected Christ in-dwelling us and changing us into His likeness.” - A W Tozer
It's not? Jesus changing us has something to do with showing us His ways, yes?

I hope you're not implying we will still be like Christ, yet can be spiritually ignorant?

Now, that could reveal much about the church in these last days during the Falling Away..... destroyed for a lack of knowledge.

Jesus yoke is gentle in that it fits correctly, however you still have to pull. I have been a Christian for a very long time...and it is not easy, however it is the best way to go. I have heard all the stories of do this, or do that, and it will work out wonderful, and blah, blah, folks there is no easy road, often times you just have to bite the bullet and keep going.

Jesus yoke is easy specifically because He is the One doing the pulling.
