Thanks Magenta,
you are a great teacher on this forum...:)
You are welcome, and thank you as always for your very kind words to me, and others :)

I was having difficulty finding a handle that hadn't been taken, it was the first one I found.
It was the last camp before crossing the Jordan, and when I found this place I thought this was the last
place I would "camp" before I went to my reward. I would change it if I could, I would also pay by check to support the work but haven't found that avenue yet.
Thank you Magenta.
Blessings
You are welcome :) I had actually looked it up some time ago when
I first saw your name :D I like learning new things, and sharing what
I have learned :) Thank you for being an agent of motivation! :)

I have just now read your added edit, and it has brought tears of gratitude and joy to my eyes, and something else, for though there is a sense of not knowing what else to say, I am also humbled.

Thanks Magenta. Your a saint and a scholar. I'm glad me and shithim got off on the right foot.
I have not read all your exchanges, not even within this thread, so I cannot tell if you are being sincere or not, except I do notice you did not spell shittim's name correctly...

Thanks for your encouragement. I just wonder where some of these questions come from. I clearly stated that I believe the authors of the NT were Spirit filled. I just stopped responding because it appears that some people just want to pick a fight.

Yeah?, Hungry?....It's a "tough row to hoe", or a "tough road to hold", depending on how agrarian you are!

You will probably find, that "topics/issues" that seem so worthy to some of us, are deemed not so much, by others. Some, even to the point of pulling topics outta there arses, in colllective efforts to bury (spam) a topic they feel is not "worthy", or detrimental to their agenda/s!

IF Christianity were that easy, why everyone would be saved, right? There are reasons why Jesus taught "so mysteriously", or in parables!....And also, the same holds true in the OT!....T'was it Jesus that was speaking to His faithful servants, the Prophets in the OT? Methinks not! But, it was/is, the government that (now) sits on the shoulders of Jesus Christ! If a believer does not "press on to the high calling", the end result is so akin to so many blind people trying to describe an elephant, that it ain't funny! Does this mean these people are not saved?....Nope! On the other hand however, many of these are not as saved as they may proclaim themselves to be either! Consider the source/grains of salt, and all that jazz.

Is just that there are people out here, who "feel a need", or? arrive at some kind of "ceiling", yet something inside 'em keeps tellin' 'em: there's more...sometimes....MUCH more", as one asks oneself against oneself: ,"is THIS....ALL there IS?" There are more parts to the "body of Christ", then many believers promote! You just may find a more flourishing "victory garden", for your efforts!

What allegations? That sun worshipping Constantine railroaded Christianity and became the Catholic Church or that the Catholic Church had a say in what made it into the canon? It's no secret. I have a feeling that your mind is made up so why bother.
Yeah, okay. That's a start. Prove that.

Actually, I just thought that was your name. I've got relatives with the last name Quiring. It was pronounced "queering," until some time in the 90s, when another group embraced the word "queer." Now it's pronounce "quarring." Seems a big fuss over nothing to me, because they had the family name before it started to mean something else.

Shittim is fine. Don't worry about it.

Then this voice in my head said, " Anthony, this is as bad as its going to get!" And it was! chemo was a piece of cake! a drag losing my hair but it grew again, Im sure God spoke to me in that moment. That was ten years ago, and Im fine, that moment was as bad as it was going to get!

It is obvious that God does speak to certain persons sometimes, however the reasons are God's reasons, sometimes they look clear to me why God did something and other times not so clear. From my experience I would say, anyone who claims they actually hear God speak(not an impression)on a daily or weekly basis have been listening to something else, not God. We walk by faith and not by sight, so hearing from God directly is never a common ordinary thing. Also, someone who claims they can always discern what is and is not the voice of God is also fooling their self. Sometimes God can speak in strange ways. Years ago I took this not so flattering job and every time I went to work I had this awful feeling in my spirit, I would pray about everything I could think of but it did not go away. Anyway I am in this room thinking about the job when I look at this poster that says, "call upon Me and I will deliver you", at that precise moment I hear a rather loud voice from a small group of men saying, please do, please do. So I just prayed, Lord deliver me from this place. Anyway something good happened the very next morning and I never had to go back. In most cases one can recognize if it was really God by answering the question, did something good happen in the natural world? If nothing happened it was probably not God.

Years ago ...
God spoke to me in a medium-volume voice (no one else was anywhere around).
Years ago ...
God spoke to me in a very LOUD voice, "NO!" (no one else was anywhere around).

But, He usually speaks in the still small voice that the Bible mentions.
Often it comes as impressions in your mind.
One gets to recognize His voice, impressions, etc.

They ALWAYS line up with the word of God.
They NEVER are at odds (disagree) with the word of God.
We're talking about the Holy Spirit here!

a great witness, TY, you were very blessed, for many, 'chemo' is a death-sentence', as well as other
'wordly-cures'... hub and I have witnessed this over, and over, and over, as we have aged//...

we cannot say how Jesus speaks to each and every one of us on an individual basis, -

this always takes me back to that scripture that says that this whole-wide-world' cannot
CONTAIN/COMPREHEND/UNDERSTAND, ALL OF the 'WORDS/ACTIONS'/HAPPENINGS
that our Holy GOD and Saviour, Jesus Christ has/will accomplish...=before and after'...

so, hubby and myself, try to learn how/accept and leave those 'un-answerable-questions' in their
proper place...unless the HS asks us to seek deeper and learn more of the gifts that await us here
and in heavenly-places...Jesus is teaching us how to prepare for whatever lies ahead, whether -
good or evil...we who Love Him, our heartfelt desire is to 'always-be-ready' to serve Him,
with our whole hearts...

When I read the bible I hear God speak, and if I want to hear him audibly I read it aloud.

What you describe as unique God describes as normal:

1 Corinthians 2:9 through 3:2 explains clearly how man fellowships with God through the intuition in his spirit and how he understands the things of God.

Verse 9 says, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard and which have not come up in man's heart; things which God has prepared for those who love Him." This verse talks about God and the things of God. All of His acts are things which man's outer body (the eye and the ear) has neither seen nor heard. They are things which have never come up in man's heart. "Man's heart" is man's understanding, mind, or intellect. Man's thought can never fathom God's acts. God's acts are far beyond man's thought. Those who want to know God and have fellowship with Him can never reach God by simply using their mind.

Verse 10 says, "But to us God has revealed them through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God." The Spirit searches all things. The Spirit does not have to use the mind to figure out all things. The Spirit knows even the deepest things of God. The things which man does not know, He knows. He searches all things by His intuition. Therefore, through Him God can reveal to us things which have not come up in our heart.

This is "revelation." It is not the understanding which comes after an exercise of our mind. Since it is something that has not come up in our hearts, it is even more unlikely that it would come up in our thoughts. This is a "revelation" or an unveiling. There is no need for help from our mind. God does not reveal anything to us through our ears, eyes, or mind. How does revelation come? The next two verses answer this question.

Verses 11 and 12 continue, "For who among men knows the things of man, except the spirit of man which is in him? In the same way, the things of God also no one has known except the Spirit of God. But we have received not the spirit of the world but the Spirit which is from God, that we may know the things which have been graciously given to us by God." Only the spirit of man knows (not understands or apprehends) the things of man. Similarly, only the Holy Spirit knows the things of God. Both the spirit of man and the Holy Spirit know things directly, not by deduction or investigation. Therefore, they both know through the intuition, not through the mind.

Since only the Holy Spirit knows the things of God, we can only know the things of God when we receive the Holy Spirit. The spirit of the world is a spirit which does not have any fellowship with God. Even though it is still a spirit, it is dead. Hence, it cannot bring us fellowship with God.

The Holy Spirit of God knows the things of God. Therefore, when we receive in our spirit what the Holy Spirit already knows in the intuition, we also know the things of God. This is why it says, "we have received...the Spirit which is from God, that we may know the things...given to us by God."

But how do we know? Verse 11 says that we know through our spirit. This makes the matter very clear. The Holy Spirit reveals to our spirit all that He knows in His intuition, causing our spirit's intuition to also know what He knows. Through the intuition we know the things revealed by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, whenever the Holy Spirit reveals the things of God, He reveals them in our spirit. In God's eyes, other than man's spirit, there is no other organ in man which can know the things of man. Hence, the Holy Spirit does not reveal the things of God to our mind because He knows that our mind is incapable of knowing the things of God. The mind is not an organ for knowing things pertaining to God and man. Although the mind can think and even design many things, it cannot say that it knows these things because only the spirit of man can know the things of man.
