You treat gays nicely, but you don't say that homosexuality is okay.

The way I describe this issue is the way I describe other issues. I sin. You sin. Gays sin. The difference is that homosexuality is just a different sin. It's not an elitist or a hatred thing like vocal anti-christians scream. This is just about a sin that people (homosexuals) deal with.

I haven't read the entire thread but interesting responses for what I did read

I am wondering, has anyone asked a homosexual why they are in church and or what their thoughts on the Bible forbidding the acts of homosexuality are? now probably this has been asked somewhere, sometime but wondering if people here are thinking that might shed light on things a bit?

I like to find out what makes things 'tick' the why of things, so while non-homosexuals can discuss till the cows come home, what are we hearing from those who are actually homosexual

and if this has been addressed, somebody let me know if possible please and I will try to see where

thanks

Is there a difference in the level of sin of being gay vs. watching pornography (gay / straight) and masturbating?

let's include adultery and the lust of the eyes as well

sexual sin is as apparent as gluttony, which so many wear so well

sin is sin, however, God did not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because people had third helpings at the buffet

I understand the principal of what you are saying though and I agree with the note that homosexuality is addressed in particular in Romans 1 where Paul states God has given up those who will acknowledge Him, to their own desires (which destroy them)

This would normally go in the news forum but I think the question needs to be asked, how should we as a church deal with gay people? The Bible is clear that it is 100% wrong, that being said how can we show compassion and lead people out of this bondage instead of closing the church doors in their faces and leaving them to satans hands?

This link is about a girl that came out to her Mormon church. I have several issues with it but it begs the question, what should the church do about gay congregants?

http://www.lex18.com/story/35740626/microphone-cut-after-mormon-girl-reveals-shes-gay-at-church
I know of no church that says gays are not allowed to come in . The one I attend surely doesn't. That being said the message is one of Christ centered and Gods Word . Full and complete word of God.. Also the church should not accept false narratives like gay people is a reality there are no gay people. There are people with a sexual preference outside of the context which God created sex for.

Also The Lie of what is love and the normative of relationship in the context which God ordained it to be. telling the truth of Gods word is showing love acceptance of sin is not showing love, but endorsing and choosing the world over what Thus saith the Lord.

Well I am not wrong...but i do understand the status quo and no matter how incorrect it
is, it is the effect of brain washing...that is the pulpit saying, do this my way or the highway.
Imagine if Jesus remained in the status quo, He wouldn't have been killed by the hierarchy ...
and we wouldn't be Christians today...let's not forget love fulfils all the law...i know i won't
be heard here but i have the right to say it and i say it with confidence....ask Jesus.

According to Gods Word, yes, you're wrong. Take it up with Him. Homosexuality is wrong and mentioned in both the old and new testament. You have a right to say whatever you wish but it doesn't change the truth of the Word. I dont need to ask Jesus,I know what He would say because the Bible says it.

I'd like to say I'm black, and I prefer to be call "African-American" lol.. Also, I know personally I have no control over my heart thinking someone is beautiful, because truthfully my thinks for the most part everyone is beautiful. For instance, God hugs men and women the same. Its just about understanding, what his word is saying.

Im from Canada and in my area no one would want to say they were American anything.lol Canucks have a love hate relationship with America I think. :)

If it was a disease and you were born that way then it can never be a sin since you have no control over it.
"If" it was then you'd be right, but it isn't.

first of all Jesus and his disciples was tossed out of the churches, because of such teaching and preaching. There is a spirit of slumber among people in this world. yes, a spirit.Demonic and harmful.People with down syndrome and other deformities who don't know any better are here for God's glory. eternal life is theirs.
This just makes no sense to me at all.... perhaps it's just me, but disjointed comments really are difficult to follow.

False... Jesus said just lusting after a women in one's heart was a sin just as though the person had dome the act... so if this is a sin, you can bet'cho bottom dollar lusting for strange flesh is a sin whether they do it or not.
Again, in your haste to condemn people, you make a mistake.

"Being" gay is not a sin... it's a potential sin, if a person acts on it. Having strong hetero-sexual attraction is not a sin, it's a potential sin, if a person acts on it.

Money is NOT the root of all evil.... the LOVE of money is....

Well Jesus says you are wrong because no where in His Word does He say it's OK to be gay, or to be a thief, or to be a whoremonger, or to be a drug addict, etc, etc.... people that claim to be these things shall not be found in God's Kingdom.

No, you are making excuses once again for someone claiming to be something God did not make them to be.

Those that are WITH the Lord are the ones that are new creatures in Christ where old things have passed away... L00K, all things are become new and are of God!!!

This is noted in 2 Corinthians 5:17... obviously you need a refresher

That certainly does not include one claiming to be gay and being gay is nothing more than a potential sin... you are yet carnal in thinking it's OK to identify with anything other than being a born again child of God, a new creature in Christ Jesus.

You need to learn that the old man is dead, and needs to stay dead.... hang in there man, Jesus will get some revelation thru to you if you don't turn away like many are doing today unto doctrines of devils which try to get people to believe it's OK to identify with being gay and claim that they are gay among other works of the flesh.

So, assuming that you have sexual attraction to women (you ARE a male, aren't you?) that means you are a sinner? Because of that attraction? Even if you resist the urge to have sex with them?

Urges are urges. It's the giving in to the urges that makes it a sin.

Some people have the urge to steal things... kleptomania.... so having that urge makes you a sinner, even if you never give in to that temptation?

Who is the person using childish reasoning here? God never said we would not have "bad" urges.... He simply wants us to not give in to them.

I think most of the adults here get it, sis.... except for just a few juveniles that think they have all the answers in black and white, and are more vocal than others.

What's worse? A person who can't see their own arrogant, condescending attitude or a person who struggles and fights against same sex attraction?

Or a person who says they're a child of God, but yet doesn't seem to understand only God can pass judgement. And only God has the authority to say if someone is going to hell or not.

Well to be Blunt fair and honest, according to scripture those that practice sin have no relationship with God.

Those that have hidden sin corrupt and weaken the body of Christ. They also hinder the prayers of the saints.

Homosexual behavior is unnatural according to scripture. It is not like other sin. We sin because we are sinners but this is not the case for gay people. They are unnatural and prideful in there unnatural lust. Imo I think they tempt God.
Now salvation is offered to all so yes they can be saved but not without repentance. So if they want to remain in that gay lifestyle then they have no place in a Christ centered church.
This is not a position of hate or anything like that.
If it's mental, emotional, physical defect no one really knows but the Bible calls it unnatural. Embrace them from a distance let them be in your prayers and thoughts but lay hands on no one suddenly.

God excepts everyone the way they are but loves you to much to to stay that way.
