NOW FD,

Simply ignoring all the scripture in God's Word that disagrees with your intepretation of God's Word does not make the scriptures disappear. If you disagree please adress my posts and the scriptreus in them like I have done to your posts.

If you cannot then it is ok maybe you can pray about it at home. Simply ignoring my posts to you only says to me that you do not know God's Word or how to respond to the scriptures that disagree with you from the Word of God. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.

Law of Moses, Councel at Jerusalem & Sabbath observance

Acts 15:
1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. 2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question. 3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren. 4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them. 5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. 6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

(NOTE: Verses 1 & 5 Pharisees tell Paul & Barnabas (who disagree) gentiles need to be circumcised & keep the law of Moses.)
Indeed and agreed. NOW Is Circumcision the 10 Commandments? What is the difference between God's LAW (10 Commandments) and the Mosaic book of the Covenant in the OLD Covenant? What was the purpose of God's LAW and the Mosaic laws for the remission of SIN? If you do not KNOW what the OLD Covenant is how can you know what the NEW Covenant is?

(COUNTER NOTE: Acts 15 CONTEXT is that v1. certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved; The CONTEXT of this whole chapter is that the Jewish BELIEVERS were arguing that unless the Gentiles were CIRCUMCISED they cannot be SAVED or have salvation.)

(NOTE: Verse 22, the apostles and elders, verse 23, wrote letters to gentile churches, verse 24, gentiles need not be circumcised of keep the law of Moses.
Yes indeed where in this lettter does it say that the Gentile BELIEVERS are not required to keep God's 10 Commandments? Do you know the difference between God's LAW (10 Commandments) and the laws of Moses written in the book of the Covenant? If you do not know what the OLD Covenant is how can you know what the NEW Covenant is?

Gentiles ARE NOT required to keep 4th commandment to observe the Sabbath!) Recorded here too: James, Peter & John, Barnabas & Paul shake on the Counsel at Jerusalem deal here too:
Gal 2:9 and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me they gave to me & Barnabas the right hands of fellowship that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the Jews.
Where does it say in Acts 15 that Gentiles are notrequired to keep God's 10 Commandments? Do you know the difference between God's LAW (10 Commandments) and the laws of Moses written in the book of the Covenant? If you do not know what the OLD Covenant is how can you know what the NEW Covenant is?

We are only saved by GRACE indeed as it is written; For by GRACE ARE YOU SAVED THROUGH FAITH; and that not of yourselves, it is the GIFT OF GOD and NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.
(Eph 2:8)

There is a reason why God gives us his Grace.....

By whom we have received GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name: Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ. (Romans 1:5-6)

Now lets have a detailed look at Acts 15 and see if it is saying what you are teaching because your teaching that if your a Gentile believer then you free to break God's 10 commandments right? This is something Jesus and the Apostles never taught or the OLD and NEW Testament writings. Teaching agaisnt the LAW and the prophets is a different Gospel that all a warned about.

You have not provided any CONTEXT my friend, The chapter is about those of the Jews teaching that one must be circumcised in order to have salvation Acts 15:1-5)? You may need to consider CONTEXT. The BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ means to BELIEVE in the WORD of GOD because Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1-14)

Acts 15 is in reference to having to be CIRCUMCISED in order to have salvation and that this was not a requirement for salvation. This is what the OP is referring to here. The ceremonial laws of Moses were shadows pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation.

God's LAW (10 commandments) are the knowledge of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and define what good and evil is. God's LAW is the standard of the Old Covenant the NEW Covenant and the Judgement to come and is forever.

This was posted already but do not mind re-posting again if you missed it. Let's look at the whole section in CONTEXT with all the scriptures...

Acts 15
1, And certain men which came down from Judea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved <The controversy is that if you are not circumcised after the law of Moses you cannot be saved>.
2, When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
3, And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
4, And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5, But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6, And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7, And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8, And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9, And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10, Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
19, Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: <New converts do not need to be circumcised after the law of Moses>
20, But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21, For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day <the new converts will learn more because the scriptures are read in the synagogues every Sabbath>.
22, Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23, And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
24, Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: <what law are we referring to? The law of Moses; circumcision>

As mentioned above already the Mosaic laws (not God's Law; 10 commandments) that were the cure for sin in the Old Covenant pointing to Jesus have been done away. They were shadows that pointed to Jesus and were fulfilled at the cross. For example with circumcision...........................

Romans 2
28,
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29, But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Now let’s look at the interpretation of
Acts 15 where you state; because Gods Sabbath is not mentioned you do not need to keep it...

Now we have shown above already that the CONTEXT of
Acts 15 is referring to CIRCUMCISSION as a REQUIREMENT for SALVATION. Circumcision is a requirement under the law of Moses. In fact God’s LAW is not mentioned except for Idolatry as a requirement for the new Gentile converts. WHY? Because Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day v21

This chapter has nothing to do with Gentiles not obeying God’s LAW (10 commandments) it is about CIRCUMCSION in the Mosaic law being a REQUIREMENT for SALVATION v1-5

You state the above because none of God's Law (10 commandments) are mentioned that the Gentiles do not need to follow them.

So FD, if you follow this view through to its logical conclusion, Gentile believers can go kill, steal, covet murder and break all of God’s commandments as long as they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood v20.

I am sure you do not believe this, do you gb0? God’s WORD certainly does not teach this as it says those who are living a life of KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN because those who are practicing SIN have rejected the GIFT of God’s dear son (
Hebrews 10:26-27).

Acts 15 says nothing about not needing to obey God's 10 commandments but that circumcision was not a requirement for salvation (CONTEXT) and that Torah was taght in the Synagoges EVERY SABBATH where the new believers would learn more about God's Word.

NOW please if you do not BELIEVE what is posted here state your case why you do not BELEIVE what is presented in this post with scripture. If you can not should you now BELIEVE God's Word? Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE.

It seems you are indeed preaching against God's LAW and the Gospel. Something Jesus or the disciples never did. Jesus says those that do this are least in God's Kingdom and will not see it (Matthew 5:17-19).

Everything in your posts has been answered in POST # 3783;POST # 3784POST # 3761 and POST # 3768 (LINKED)

..............

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

Law of Moses, Councel at Jerusalem & Sabbath observance

Conclusion:
Sabbath observance did not precede the Law of Moses. God's requirement for ""Israel"" to keep the Sabbath does not exist until after the deliverance from Egyptian bondage. And gentiles were never a part of this Law Covenant.

Rom 2:14 (A) For when the Gentiles, which have not the law,
(NOTE: Gentiles were never under Mosaic law)

Gentiles are justified = Declared Righteous by a Sovereign God, thru FAITH not law keeping!
Sabbath observance did not precede the Law of Moses. This is presumption or wrong because the Sabbath was kept in Ex 16 before the law was given and the Sabbath was given to man at creation. By mouth the laws were passed on from generation to generation, but at Sinai God wrote it in stone.

God's requirement for ""Israel"" to keep the Sabbath does not exist until after the deliverance from Egyptian bondage. And gentiles were never a part of this Law Covenant.

Are the gentiles saved in a different way to the Jews? The Jews were definitely Gods people and were given laws to obey but how are they saved? By faith,
Were there laws in place before Israel left Egypt? Yes, It can be proven that killing was a sin and that Adultery was a sin and that having other gods before God was a sin, so laws did exist before Ex 20.
God said remember the Sabbath because it was already a law that the people had, and needed reminding of.
Circumcision was given to Abraham because of sin, but the Sabbath was given to all mankind at creation.

Heb 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
Heb 4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Heb 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Heb 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Are the people of God just Jews?
You need to understand that the Ten Commandments are different to all the other laws.
No one has any issue about any of the other 9 laws (except the catholics) but the Sabbath means that you throw out the whole law. Can i kill today, can i steal today by grace, can i take the Lords name in vain and think it's OK, saying "it was just for the Jews and the new covenant means i don't need to obey any laws anyway". ??

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Mat 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
Mat 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
(Thou shall have no other Gods before me, and Thou shall not covert)
Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Luk 23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

Mar 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Mar 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Mar 7:10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:

Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Jas 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

1Jn 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

I find it rather comical when Acts 15 is used as "proof" agfainst YHWH'sSabbath day, as the Gentile converts gathered every Sabbath:

15:20, "but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood.

Why are these the only requirements for “19... the Gentiles who are turning to YHWH” Because “Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath

15:21, "“For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath.”

Acts 13:14-15, “But passing through from Perge, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the congregation on the Sabbath day and sat down. And after the reading of the Torah (Law) and the Prophets, the rulers of the congregation sent to them, saying, “Men, brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, speak.”

Acts 13:42-44, “And when the Yehuḏim went out of the congregation, the Gentiles begged to have these words spoken to them the next Sabbath. And when the meeting of the congregation had broken up, many of the Yehuḏim and of the worshiping converts followed Sha’ul and Barnaḇa, who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in the favor of YHWH, and on the next Sabbath almost all the city came together to hear the Word of YHWH.”

Acts 18:4, “And he was reasoning in the congregation every Sabbath, and won over both Yehuḏim and Greeks.”

Acts 15: “The Jerusalem Council”

A misunderstood passage, in which different texts have different readings, verses can not be added to the text any number of years after it was written and be true and authentic. In the Acts 15 age and culture one had to meet a set of requirements to even walk into a place of worship, this “council” was set to determine who should be let in or what they expected of their new converts. This was not an exhaustive guide or be all end all instructions, acquiring more knowledge of the Word was addressed also. The words of the Messiah are our guide, and He made very clear what was and what was not valid. Again this was a basic set of requirements to enter a place of worship, as once they entered they would learn the ways of YHWH because as verses 21 states; “Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath.” Many today filter the “Jerusalem Decree” through a modern view of what is acceptable at “church.” At this time, 2,000 years ago things were much different and one could not simply walk into any place of worship freely. Also it is worth mentioning that when people say this is all that is required of Gentiles period they would have to throw out everything Yahshua/Jesus said and the rest of the “New Testament.” Things like stealing, murder, false witness, etc. would be completely acceptable for a Gentile to do, we know this is not so. This further proves the guidelines are for new converts, new to the faith and once they begin to learn more about YHWH they will naturally learn more about the narrow path.

Acts 15:19-21,29 “19 Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles (new converts) who are turning to YHWH, 20, but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood. 21, For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath. 29, that you abstain from what is offered to idols, and blood, and what is strangled, and whoring. If you keep yourselves from these, you shall do well. Be strong!”

Acts 15:1-41,

15:1, "And certain men came down from Yehuḏah and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised, according to the practice of Mosheh, you are unable to be saved.”

15:2, "So when Sha’ul and Barnaḇa had no small dissension and dispute with them, they arranged for Sha’ul and Barnaḇa and certain others of them to go up to Yerushalayim, to the emissaries and elders, about this question."

15:3, "So, being sent on their way by the assembly, they passed through Phoenicia and Shomeron, relating the conversion of the Gentiles. And they were causing great joy to all the brothers."

15:4, "And having arrived in Yerushalayim, they were received by the assembly and the emissaries and the elders. And they reported all that YHWH had done with them."

15:5, "And some of the believers who belonged to the sect of the Pharisees, rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the Torah of Mosheh.”

This is what Yahshua/Jesus taught concerning the “Law of Mosheh” and the teachers of it in that time:

Shem Tob's Hebrew Mattithyah - Mat 23:2-3, "The Pharisees and Sages sit upon the seat of Mosheh. Therefore, all that he (Mosheh) says to you, diligently do, but according to their takanot (reforms) and their ma'asim (precedents) do not do, because they talk (Torah) but they do not do."

15:6, "And the emissaries and elders came together to look into this matter."

15:7, "And when there had been much dispute, Kĕpha (Peter) rose up and said to them, “Men, brothers, you know that a good while ago YHWH chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the Good News and believe."

15:8, "“And YHWH, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Set-apart Spirit, as also to us,"

15:9, "and made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by belief."

15:10, “Now then, why do you try YHWH by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?"

What is the “yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear”

Mat 23:4, “For they (the pharisees not YHWH) bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders, but with their finger they do not wish to move them.”

How do they “bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders, but with their finger they do not wish to move them”?

New International Version - Mat 23:2-3, "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach."

King James Bible - Mat 23:2-3, "Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not."

Takanot: rabbinical reforms or enactments that falsely change or add to YHWH's Law.
Ma'asim: acts or deeds that serve as precedents for rabbinic law.
Both Takanot and Ma'asim are laws of the Talmud

15:11, "“But through the favor of the Master יהושע Messiah we trust to be saved, in the same way as they.”"

15:12, "And all the crowd was silent and were listening to Barnaḇa and Sha’ul declaring how many miracles and wonders YHWH did among the Gentiles, through them."

15:13, "And after they were silent, Ya‛aqoḇ answered, saying, “Men, brothers, listen to me:"

15:14, "“Shim‛on has declared how YHWH first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His Name."

15:15, "“And the words of the prophets agree with this, as it has been written:"

15:16, "‘After this I shall return and rebuild the Booth of Dawiḏ which has fallen down. And I shall rebuild its ruins, and I shall set it up,"

15:17, "so that the remnant of mankind shall seek יהוה, even all the Gentiles on whom My Name has been called, says יהוה who is doing all this,’"

15:18, "who has made this known from of old.” (Amo 9:11-12)

15:19, "“Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to YHWH,"

the Gentiles who are turning to YHWH” This shows us new Gentile converts are the topic. Not Gentiles period, but new Gentile converts.

15:20, "but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood.

1. No idols
2. No whoring
3. No partaking of what has been strangled
4. No food containing blood

These are ALL “Old Testament” Laws an only one of them is from the 10 Commandments. It is also interesting that even though this decree was made for Gentile converts to the faith, today it seems that even these basic commands for beginners are completely ignored.

Ex 22:20, Lev 17:7, Deut 32:17, Deut 32:21, 1Co 10:14, 1Co 10:20-21. Num 25:1-3, Lev 17:7. Gen 9:4, Ez 33:25 (Strangled; One way of eating meat with blood) Pro 21:25. Lev 17:10-14

15:22, "Then it seemed good to the emissaries and elders, with all the assembly, to send chosen men from among them to Antioch with Sha’ul and Barnaḇa: Yehuḏah being called Barsabba, and Silas, leading men among the brothers,"

15:23, "having written by their hand this: The emissaries and the elders and the brothers, To the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, and Suria, and Kilikia: Greetings."

15:24, "Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your lives, to whom we gave no command.”

Words have been added o later manuscripts that are not in the oldest manuscripts; You will see Acts 15:24 has been translated differently in different translations because different source texts were used. There is a whole phrase added, that was not in the original. The following words in RED were not in the original Manuscripts, “saying, you must be circumcised, and keep the law.” (compare parallel translations)

15:25, "it seemed good to us, having become of one mind, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnaḇa and Sha’ul,"

15:26, "men who have given up their lives for the Name of our Master יהושע Messiah."

15:27, "We have therefore sent Yehuḏah and Silas, who are also confirming this by word of mouth."

15:28, "For it seemed good to the Set-apart Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessities:"

15:29, "that you abstain from what is offered to idols, and blood, and what is strangled, and whoring. If you keep yourselves from these, you shall do well. Be strong!

15:30, "They, therefore, being sent off, went to Antioch. And having gathered the crowd together, they delivered the letter."

15:31, "And having read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement."

15:32, "And Yehuḏah and Silas, being themselves also prophets, encouraged the brothers with many words and strengthened them."

15:33, "And having spent some time, they were sent back in peace from the brothers to the emissaries."

15:34, "But it seemed good to Silas to remain."

15:35, "And Sha’ul and Barnaḇa continued in Antioch, teaching and bringing, with many others also, the Good News: the Word of יהוה!"

15:36, "And after some days Sha’ul said to Barnaḇa, “Let us now go back and visit our brothers in every city where we proclaimed the Word of יהוה, and see how they are.”

15:37, "And Barnaḇa purposed to take with them Yoḥanan called Marqos."

15:38, "But Sha’ul thought it not fit to take with them the one who withdrew from them in Pamphulia, and had not gone with them to the work."

15:39, "A sharp feeling therefore came to be, so that they parted from one another. And so Barnaḇa took Marqos and sailed to Cyprus."

15:40, "And Sha’ul chose Silas and went off, being committed by the brothers to the favor of YHWH."

15:41, "And he went through Suria and Kilikia, strengthening the assemblies."

You will see Acts 15:24 has been translated differently in different translations because different source texts were used. There is a whole phrase added, that was not in the original. The following words in RED were not in the original Manuscripts, “saying, you must be circumcised, and keep the law.” Here are the parallel verses.

Acts 15:24 Parallel Verses

New International Version, We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said.

New Living Translation, We understand that some men from here have troubled you and upset you with their teaching, but we did not send them!

English Standard Version, Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions,

International Standard Version, We have heard that some men, coming from us without instructions from us, have said things to trouble you and have unsettled you.

Sabbath observance did not precede the Law of Moses. This is presumption or wrong because the Sabbath was kept in Ex 16 before the law was given and the Sabbath was given to man at creation.
Yes by Being made in HIS image and in HIS likeness. They kept the Sabbath when GOD did. Because before the fall they were one with HIM through Christ.

you guys go through such great lengths to keep folks under the law, it would be funny if it were not so sad. you guys might as well have a plaque made with " law " printed on it, and fall down In front of it 5 times a day, and worship it, like muslims do. you are as wrong as they are.

I am just about through the Gospel of John. how can anyone read that , all the times Jesus said believe in Me, and say " yep, it's all about keeping the Mosaic Law '.

Sermon on the Mount. no Sabbath. upper room discourse in John's Gospel. no Sabbath. sinful works of the flesh. not keeping the Sabbath is not listed as one. fruits of the Sprit. no Sabbath mentioned . the Commands John mentioned in his first letter. no Sabbath.

Scripture after Scripture about Christ follower's expected behavior. no Sabbath.

do you know these Scriptures? are they authoritative Scriptures ?
You are altogether missing the 'intent of the Spirit. Do you really think JESUS would continue the old system of 'commanding Sabbath' ? He is the Mediator of a 'changed law ! CHANGED..not obsolete just because it's no longer commanded !!! christians or anyone being DISobedient to God can not receive the change made 'in the SPIRIT 1Cor 2v14.
Untill these people change their false beliefs and turn to the true CHrist the 'Lord of the Sabbath' they have no way of understanding. I am not accusing but putting it to them plain and simple...seing they can't grasp holy scripture. Rejecting GOD's HOLY time will keep them outside in the dark where man can not see truth.

it mean implicitly you say non sabbath observance go to hell.
You are not reading SCRIPTURE....JESUS says if we don't do the Will of God we will NOT be in His Kingdom.
Just curious...WHY do you want to be in heaven if you don't believe, honour and reaspect God ? You don't need God if you make your own laws and decisions.

well. lets see. God spoke to Moses " an eye for an eye , a tooth for a tooth, your shall not pity them ".

then Jesus came into the world and said " you have heard it said an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, but I say to you bless those who curse you, pray for those who spitefully use you.... "

does this sound different to you?

some folks cannot grasp the Trinity- Jesus the Son has the authority to change and annual anything.

Christianity is not a different version of Judaism , it is a completely different thing. stop trying to marry the two.

Hi LGF, 30 pages later and you still have no answer.

Have you missed anything? What else are you to do on the Sabbath..its a command you should know?

Also, Who did Moses say the 4th commandment was for?

I will post the scripture for you to read!

Deuteronomy 5:1-22English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)

The Ten Commandments

5 And Moses summoned all Israel and said to them, “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the rules that I speak in your hearing today, and you shall learn them and be careful to do them.

2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

3 Not with our fathers did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, who are all of us here alive today.

4 The Lord spoke with you face to face at the mountain, out of the midst of the fire,5 while I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord. For you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up into the mountain.

He said:

6 “‘I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
7 “‘You shall have no other gods before me.
8 “‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
9 You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 10 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

11 “‘You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

12 “‘Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. 13 For six days you shall labour and do all your work,14 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. 15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.

-----

22 “These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly at the mountain out of the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and he added no more. And he wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.

Ehh... this was answered way back somewhere around POST # 3329 and POST # 3333. Why you think I have any problems with the above is beyond me. Maybe you will need to explain yourself more if you think I have not already answered it.

From what I can see your problem is you do not understand what the Old Covenant is and think it is only God's 10 Commandments. This is why your having difficulty here. Let me know happy to share more scriptures with you if you need some help. Will be back latter.

............

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

There is no problem with these scriptures...I said a change had been made.
The problem is with the christian belief that the 10 commandments were abolished !
That is at the heart of our argument, you want to take away God's Holy day !

Jackson...DO NOT put words in my mouth I never said ! I told you what JESUS says, that those who do not the will of God will not be in the Kgd. This thing about going to hell are YOUR own words.

I will not answer your question because you twist words.to say something else.according to your own interpretation.

The DISobedient do NOT love God and that is scriptural teaching...no matter what you claim as a lie.

you are using non Scriptual reasoning and this person does this so your wrong. It does not matter what a person does thetruth is the truth. Also by your reasoning, any who believe do not murder must therefore kill all murderers...

No your just in oppisition to YHWH's Law so you have that view of those who love His Law.

Jeremiah 31:33, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israyl: After those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law (Torah/Instructions) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their Strength, and they will be My people."

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”

Isaiah 51:7, “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My Torah (Instructions/Law): do not fear the reproach of men, nor be afraid of their reviling.”

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the Commands of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

2 Thessalonians 2:3-12, “Let no one deceive you in any way, because the falling away is to come first, and the man of lawlessness is to be revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called the Most High or that is worshipped, so that he sits as the Most High in the Dwelling Place of the Most High, showing himself that he is the Most High. Do you not remember that I told you this while I was still with you? For the mystery of iniquity is already working, but the One restraining him will continue to restrain him, until he is made to appear in the midst. And then that lawless one will be revealed, whom Yahshua will remove with the breath of His mouth, and make powerless with the appearance of His coming-- Whose coming is according to the energy of Satan, who works with all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of sin in those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Ehh... this was answered way back somewhere around POST # 3329 and POST # 3333.

LOL STILL copying and pasting your answers? The word says 'let no one judge you in respect of new moons and Sabbaths.'

Also, yes this is what the OP is about do you want to adress it yet? Seems you still are not able to and God's Word disagrees with your interpretation of the scriptures..
