Sorry, I didn't realise that. I would have thought the 6th commandment would have covered it, reinforced be Christ's own example of working on the Sabbath coupled with his teaching regarding the Good Samaritan etc., who according to Judaism (another 'ism) were working.
If Christ worked on the Sabbath he would have broken his own Sabbath and committed sin and not have been our perfect sacrifice. There is a difference between doing good and following man made traditions that break God's LAW. Jesus never broke God's LAW he fulfilled it.

If people are not prepared to accept the New Covenant God made with his people and keep reverting back to Old Testament law, then quite frankly I do not know what they are doing on a Christian forum.
You are not accepting the NEW COVENANT or are you a part of the NEW COVENANT if God's LAW'S are not written on your heart to LOVE AND FOLLOW him who calls you in LOVE to LOVE another.

SIN is the transgression or breakin gof God's Commandments (Romans 7:7; James 2:8-12; 1 John 3:4)

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.......................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Why would you ask Jackson? He is confused about both Covenants. Do you know what the Old Covenant is?

If you do not how can you know what the new is? If you do not work out your own salvation there will be fear and trembling. It will be a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God for those who reject God's word.
Jackson, for one thing, will not gad about for 200 pages avoiding answering the question. For another, Jackson appears to have actually found rest :)

The only confusion I find in him is when he tries to make sense of your preaching, because he comes to contradictions when he follows it to its natural conclusions.

Funny, that's exactly what should inform you about what it is you say you wouldn't know.
Not really I only share God's Word and it is only God's Word I believe and follow. Many though deny God's Word in order to follow their Catholic heritage.

Now PH are you telling lies now or just making things up? This is between you and God I guess.

Really? Which ones? Lets talk scripture. Although if you have none then I guess it will be hard for you.

I giggle very time I hear this kind of knee-jerk response from the SDA propaganda office.
Painting with a very broad brush I would say!

In addition your theology does not come from the Word of God, but from Ellen G. White, doesn't it?
Oh, we all get that you could not possibly admit to that on a site like this, could you?
Hence the propaganda statement to hide the truth...

Unfortunately, the website that you are advertising is just a shrine to Ellen G. White and her teachings. In fact, in the spirit of Ellen G. White herself, it would not surprise me at all if most if what is on that site is just a word-for-word plagiarism of her writings...
It rather gives the whole game away!

Why where is the knee-jerk response? Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE another. SIN will keep all who practice it out of God's KINGDOM.

No not at all. My theology comes from Sola Scriptura and God's Word alone. Where does yours come from?

Not at all it is my own website no one elses and it is God's Word. Sola Scriptura. It is only on God's Word we stand. If we break the Commandments of God in order to follow the traditions and teachings of men you are not following God but man.

yep dear, because we late living in the new covenant, we follow Jesus rule

Matt 11

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Here is the rule, any time you come to Him, He will give you rest or sabbath, not only once a week.

real rest, not false or hypocritical rest.
Amen brother

This would be the 4th Commandment which is one of the 10 that ALL will be judged by come judgement day.

Exodus 20
8,
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9, Six days shall you labor, and do all your work:
10, But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates:
11, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested

HOW DO WE KNOW IF WE KNOW GOD?

1 John 2
3,
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

Titus 3:9
But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.
We are not striving about foolish controversies and geneologoes about strivings of the ceremoial laws of Moses.

The word law used here is νομικός; nomikos; nom-ik-os' From G3551; according (or pertaining) to law, that is, legal ceremonially; as noun, an expert in the (Mosaic) law: - about the law, lawyer.

We are talking about SIN and how SIN will keep all who practice it out of God's KINGDOM.

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

Indeed it is a Shadow law Col 2:14 pointing to the Judgement to come at the 2nd Coming where the wages of SIN (breaking God's Commandments) is death. Read the OP here...

BOOK OF THE COVENANT IS A SHADOW OF THE NEW

Col 2

14, Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

14, BLOTTING OUT < G1813 ἐξαλείφωexaleipho (ex-a-lei'-fō) v.means to rub out, i.e. obliterate, erase>the HANDWRITING < G5498 χειρόγραφονcheirographon (chei-ro'-gra-fon) n.means
something hand-written (“chirograph”), i.e. a manuscript specially, a legal document > of ORDINANCES < G1378 δόγμαdogma (d̮og'-ma) n. meansordinance;civil, ceremonial or ecclesiastical laws>that was against us, WHICH WERE AGAINST US, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

v14 reads the handwriting of the ordinances that were against us; God’s LAW written on stone (10 Commandments) are not the handwriting of the ordinances written in the book that were against us. The ORDINANCES referred to here are those written in the Mosaic book of the law that were against us. Not all the book of the law was against us. Those laws that pertained to righteousness were not against us. God’s LAW (10 Commandments) let us know what SIN was if we disobeyed them.

The Ten Commandments are not against us only the statutes and judgement in the Book of the Law in relation to when we sin were (the judgements and penalty for sin the curses for sin).

DEUT 31 [26] Take this Book of the Law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there FOR A WITNESS AGAINST THEE.

DEUT 30 [19] For GOD has said, I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, BLESSINGS AND CURSES: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: [20] That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest OBEY his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

CONTEXT of the 2:16-17
is the CIVIL, CEREMONIAL AND ECCLESIASTIC laws contained in ORDINANCES that were against us. This is referring to the penalty for SIN as well as the fulfillment of the Mosaic laws for remission of sin that all pointed to Jesus (shadow laws). Together these were fulfilled in Christ and nailed to the cross.

...................

KILLING THE COMMANDMENT VIOLATOR IN THE NEW COVENANT

Luke 17
26, And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27,
They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28,
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29, But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30, Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Hebrews 10
26,
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Hebrews 6
4, For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6, If they shall fall away, to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7,
For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes oft on it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receives blessing from God:
8,
But that which bears thorns and briers is rejected, and is near to cursing; whose end is to be burned.

2 Pet 3
3, Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5, For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6, Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7, But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Rev 14
7, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8,
And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9, And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and rec
eive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

2 Pet
4, For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved to judgment;
5, And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
6, And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample to those that after should live ungodly;
7,
And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8,
For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds
9,
The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust to the day of judgment to be punished:

to many more scriptures you get the picture...

This is one of many scriptures telling us that SIN is breaking ANY of God's 10 Commandments.

Exodus 31:18

  • And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

    dear,

You can not ad the word

the word say the handwriting of ordinance

and you say only ordinance that write by Moses.

you add the Word dear, it is serious crime.

The tent commandment also hand writing ordinance dear.

It specifically say written with with the finger of God

whwn Moses wrote the ordinance he also use finger. It say hand, but we know every body wrire use finger.

Just way of saying . Typing is not hand writing though type use hand or finger.

so tent commandment is hand writing

wake up dear, do not follow man made teaching that add the word. It is sin, repent dear.

Hypocrite
a pretense of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude.
noun; a person who pretends to be what he or she is not; one who pretends to be betterthan is really so, or to be pious, virtuous, etc. without really being so.

Luk 13:14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
Luk 13:15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
Luk 13:16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

If the rulers of the synagogue were hypocrites they were pretending to do what is right.
By Jesus calling them hypocrites He was saying they should be keeping the sabbath but not in the way they were pretending to keep it.

We can keep the sabbath wrong and be a hypocrite, We can do what is right, and obey the Lord (keep it for the right motives), or we can ignore the sabbath command all together.

to my knowledge, sabbath mean rest.

Jesus say,

real rest is when we come to Jesus.

Mar_2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Deu 10:3 And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
Deu 10:4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.

The Lord wrote the Ten Commandments himself.

Deu 4:12 And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. Deu 4:13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

Exo 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

Why are these commandments different to the other ones?
Why write these on stone?
Why isolate ten and call them "The Ten Commandments"?

Why does the Holy Spirit speaking through Paul call them a ministration of death? ((re: 2 Cor. 3:7))
