Exactly. They are too aggressive otherwise. They're going to be in charge no matter HOW many eyeballs are lost.

LOL.. Yes, certain breeds are like that and then sometimes it skips a generation. We had a lovely Boarder Collie who could not co-exist with another dog. He was great for the humans but not for the other dogs. We could not keep him.

Wow., the eyeball being shaken out if it's socket is a new one on me!! I'm sorry sister. I know the feeling when dogs fight. I was just sharing with Laura Charlotte about having to shoot a wild dog who attacked my friend and our dogs when we went for a walk out in the country. I was very thankful for having my fire arm with me. I was so shaken it undid me for the rest of the day.

Way back then at the time., I had something stronger than tea to calm me.

And why is not the lasagna purple?
Very disappointed . LoL
Blessings

Perhaps if the noodles were made from purple potatoes?

The filling could have a bit of yummy purple yam in it...

We could add a few baby eggplants :)

Not too many ;) And maybe some purple carrots :D

A little purple cauliflower could not hurt :)

If it is still not purple enough, cake will help remove that sting :D

Maybe you would like some ice cream with your cake?

You do not understand what you are saying. Works don't save and works don't keep you saved yet obedience give us security in our salvation?

Mat 7:21 Not everyone that saith to Me Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that doeth the will of My Father Who is in heaven.

Some here are professing allegiance to Christ yet they have not done the will of the Father. So what is the will of the Father?

Joh 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

These are commanded to depart because they never were known by Christ. They were never saved even though they claimed to cast out demons and many wonderful works. They claimed to be obedient but were workers of iniquity because they denied Christ.

Jesus earlier in the chapter drew a distinction between false teachers and true teachers.

Nothing to do with what you are implying from the passage.

For the cause of Christ

I can not believe people are unable to see Scripture!

It has everything to do with what I am saying.

IF someone BELIEVES on Christ......HE HIMSELF SAID THEY WOULD OBEY HIM! As well, that ONE VERSE encapsulates ALL the various good works God has purposed His children to do! Everything to do with what I am saying.

OBEDIENCE is required, before one of His children can fulfill HIS WILL!

False Teachers here are those who say "we are not required to do the good works God purposed us for"

Try to see past your bias and see what God/Christ is saying.

Jesus said why call me Lord and NOT do what I say?

IF YOU BELIEVE IN HIM, YOU WILL OBEY HIM!

Everything to do with what I have been saying all along.

goodness gracious ............ give me strength Lord

Jesus is the rock, Not our works,

The people who build their house based on works, build there house on the sand, (which what I see you trying to enforce, you could show otherwise and we can discuss it but you will not) Because our works are insufficient.

Oh forgive me, I gave a different view of the interpetation of that verse, which means I attacked the elephant
I stated Christ was the rock! Why do you thing I wrote it this way?

ROCK

you are a lost cause

You wonder why I don't pay attention to your comments? It is because you can not understand the simplest of statements!

Jesus IS THE ROCK.......what I SAID!

We build our spiritual house ON HIM.......and that secures our eternity

Doesn't matter how many times it is explained to you, you will not understand..........good grief

I understand the conversation. The acronym is a kinda cutesy way of saying our works keeps us saved. We could just morph this into the Not by works thread.

If it must be R O S E how about:
Relying On Son Everlasting
Well, apparently you DO NOT understand........sigh........goodness
The OP was NEVER about works........and you and others try as you might want to discredit it by lying about that.........so it si you guys who are doing all the "works" here.......

Obedience...............deal with the Scriptural reality of obedience...........try understanding that

BTW.......relying on Christ IS THE CORNERSTONE that obedience is built on.......it is HE WHO REQUIRES our obedience.

so.........clearly you do not understand, but, hey, thanks for playing

Personally, I like HOOR theology.
His Obedience Our Righteousness.

For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. (Rom 5:19) HOORAH
His obedience our salvation.......it is He who is our righteousness right?

Still......our obedience is very necessary..........we ALL have a purpose, we were purposed by God Himself

All that I know affirm good works follow saving faith. The issue seems to be whether or not one can lose their secured salvation if they have no works. Then dead faith is brought into the equation, when a dead faith is not faith at all (from my perspective).
No..........that is what they want to make it about...........it is ABOUT being obedient to Christ/God....that simple

It has been stated here numerous times that one can NOT DO good works UNTIL they are FIRST SAVED!

But these guys ignore that and want to make it all about OSAS..........

Do not be misled........read what others are saying

Works based salvation are works DONE BEFORE salvation in order to gain salvation

Good Works/doing what God purposed us to do are done AFTER SALVATION.......we have been saying this all along......they simply want to muddy the waters.......because they do not EVER WANT people to know that God has WORK for His children to do.........why? Got me.........

Who here says it is a bad thing to do works. I shoudl have known, I uniggied you because the op said you made an amazing post. and here you are attacking and falsely accusing people again. (which is why I had you on iggie to begin with)

One more time.

People are are saved DO WORK, because they have ACTUAL FAITH,

he who is disobedient has NEVER SEEN GOD. (again the apostle john trumps)

the issue is NOT obedience.

thje issue is

1. Our salvation is MAINTAINED by obedience (the flesh) which paul calls those fools who teach that

2. Our assurance is based on obedience (not faith not the promises of CHrist, not our position in christ you know, all the bible verses I posted earlier in this thread NOT ONE OF YOU responded to.

Do I need to put you back as a slanderer. or will you repent?
How can you possibly be that narrow in your thinking? How do you suppose one can be obedient WITHOUT FAITH? How do you suppose one can obediently do Gods will WITHOUT BEING PREPARED TO DO SO BY THE HOLY SPIRIT?

Obedience to Christ IS ONLY ACHIEVED BY BELIEVING IN HIM! Without belief/faith.......there IS NO OBEDIENCE

goodness

FYI dude......this is the post of his (HeRose) that blows you out of the water.....funny how you ignored it huh?

Remaining Obedient Secures Eternity

For this very reason, be diligent to supply in your faith goodness, goodness in knowledge, 6 knowledge in self-control, self-control in endurance, endurance in godliness, 7 godliness in brotherly affection, and brotherly affection in love. 8 For if these things are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 The person who lacks these things is blind and shortsighted and has forgotten the cleansing from his past sins. 10 Therefore, brothers, be diligent to make secure your calling and election, because if you do these things you will never stumble. 11 For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied to you. 2 Peter 1:5-11

Every Scripture I have posted showing Christs own words blow you away too!

but, shoot, go ahead and try to muddy the waters

Jesus didn't give us "commandments" He gave us His righteousness and His Spirit.

Sure He did...Paul gives them out everywhere.... Other Apostles also give them out....While we are not under the LAW and the Ten Commandments, we do have commandments Jesus expect us to comply with.

have you met those who say we don't pay attention to the words of Christ because he was 'under the law'?

or how about we should not pay attention to the Lord's prayer and certainly never repeat it?

and similar

that has all been said in these very forums

explains why some say what they do...they sometimes self identify

Practice what you preach. False teachers in this passage are claiming to do good works and that is why they demand entrance into the kingdom. They never came to Christ and confessed their need of grace to be saved.

Jesus said the will of the Father was to believe in Him. John 6:40 Is Jesus speaking.

You cannot obey Him until you know Him. Knowing comes first then obedience. Water flows out not in. The foundation is the chief cornerstone rejected by the builders.

Obedience out of obligation is not what God seeks. Obedience out of a heart that needs to be close to Him a heart that relies on the strength of God for each breath is what God is pleased in. Surrender to Him and cease from your boasting.

For the cause of Christ

uh

so you are blind and cannot read His words until you somehow get to know Him or imagine Him or what?

I have read where you even say that the word is the best way to know God

at any rate, start with the Bible...it's Holy Spirit approved

Again. I understand perfectly. The only thing we need to be obedient about for Salvation is the Gospel.

Matthew 7:21 applies to everyone who attempts to attain Salvation by THEIR obedience (works) in ANY other way. That you incorporate it in this tagline displays a dependence on YOUR works. Jesus NEVER knew them. NOT that He knew them at one time and then they did something to unborn themselves. This is similar to how the Bible speaks in the OT of a man "knowing" his wife. When he knew his wife a new creation was formed in her womb. Jesus NEVER "knew", or made them a NEW CREATION!

It is ALWAYS about what JESUS did and who JESUS is, NOT what WE do. HE KEEPS US SAVED!

Why can't so many just understand this:
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Once we are born again, we are Children of God, sealed by the Holy Spirit. HE will work in us to transform us into the likeness of Jesus, and WE will do the works HE prepared for us.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

I Love the reminder of how there is something to build upon.
A House of prayer with a Wonderfull Counselor to instruct us how to build.
silver and gold

Just as we abide in the True vine, increase is given.

Those whose fruit is apparent(or lack of), and have not abided in the Lord
Well, it is written.

“Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. 2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. 3 Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty.
