no one is bragging Chester

no one

I usually just put an individual on ignore when I think it better

but in the case of mr grateful...he was my buddy just a few days ago and I took him off...

so I want to make sure he understands he is not going to get my attention anymore

it's not a happy thing...just better for my peace here

thanks

btw? mr grateful often says he is putting someone on ignore or back on ignore

I don't use pm at all, so I want to make sure he knows why I will not respond

I will also report abusive posts...containing name calling or suggesting someone is a liar...as he did to me some posts back

he is in his own category...I can think of only one other person here that is still here, but very abusive to others in their posts

he is on ignore also but I won't name him
I am her buddy as long as I agree, If I disagree or disagree with one of her buddies, I am satan.

See how it is??

Building a house on a rock is not always wise.. Trust me, I know, because the rock foundation of my building is LITERALLY built INTO the river and every time this river floods, guess what? We all get evacuated.. Oh and the rock ledge across the road has come down at least 3 times in the last 20 years. With houses built onto it, I might add.
The rock is christ sis, Are you saying you would not build your house on the rock (christ)

it is not just any rock.

I honestly don't get the beef. I'm not lying - I don't get it. I mean...I get it, but I don't get WHY there is a beef to begin with.

My trust did not come from me. He gave it to me when He opened my eyes to see that He was. My obedience of trust is something He has worked to build in me. He is the one who has grown it. He was the author of my trust and He has been the grower of my trust and He will be the finisher of my trust. When I see how He has gotten me securely in the obedience of trust, and see how He has brought me through my struggles in it, the verses everyone fights so strenuously over become assurances and comforts that He is certainly doing all good in me.

I am just too dumb to understand.

It's a race of trust and remaining in trust for longer and longer periods of time without stumbling and stopping my trusting. The verses in the op are assurances to me. They don't tell me any work I must do but instead show me all HE has been doing for me and in me and so they make me happy.

Since spaghetti was mentioned I had to run around looking to see if I can make that for lunch and dinner. I can't. :(
This will bother me until I can make spaghetti. What is WRONG with me?

Wonderful! God bless you!

Don't let the growly rumblings of us prophets and teachers here throw you off track!

You don't understand the conversation.......seriously.......mayhaps you should sit this one out?

(just saying)
I understand the conversation. The acronym is a kinda cutesy way of saying our works keeps us saved. We could just morph this into the Not by works thread.

If it must be R O S E how about:

Doesn't help, but thanks for trying. It will have to be spaghetti, salad and garlic bread. I don't control these things.

Inquiring to learn or just to engender strife?

How did you come to know Christ?

I've been to John 16:8-11 have you?

For the cause of Christ
Roger
You're the one engendering strife. I just return fire when fired upon. I was actually enjoying the fact that we were getting along. Now look at what you've done.

Personally, I like HOOR theology.
His Obedience Our Righteousness.

For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. (Rom 5:19) HOORAH

I went forward at an alter call at a Billy Graham crusade when I was 5 at Angel stadium.

I distinctly remember deciding to go forward, and distinctly remember making the long walk down the stairs to the field. I had no idea at the time that I was not under my own power, that I was being forced to do that. That God, He is a sneaky dictator isn't He?

Makes me wonder what else I've been forced to do that I thought was my own participation.

I suppose that means when I decide not to go to church on a certain day, God is forcing me to (not) do that as well.

Ima gonna call Him the Holy Armtwister from now on!

It's OK to blame me I can take it.

That explains a lot.

In your little book of facts you might want to mark down that I'm not a Calvinist. Not Arminian either but I do believe that you must see yourself as lost before you can get saved.

Not gonna say who, but there are quite a few people on this thread who seriously need to GROW UP...
