According to the 10 commandments given to Moses which day of the week is the Sabbath and why?

Sorry kinda two questions here but on the same passage.

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Can an admin please delete threads 2 and 3 before this gets out of hand? Before we know there will be 50 sabbath threads all with the same name spamming the main page.

you seem to think you're the only person that asks this question - or that it hasn't been answered by those who don't stay home on saturday.:) stop making so many sabbath threads on the same day. ask your questions in ONE.

I'm 'scared' of the harm sabbath-obsessed people can do to the faith of weak believers.

And again, my suggestion is if you don't like the thread, don't bother with it. Just leave it for the ones who do wish to discuss it.

Now if one uses the Bible to determine which day, we proceed thusly...

Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

This verse refers to the creation week, so we go back to Gen 1 & 2

Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

End of the sixth day. In the original text, there were no chapters and verses, so we read on...

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Gen 20:11 hearkens back to Gen 2:3. Now the first Jew is more than two thousand years in the future, so it is pretty difficult to call this the Jewish Sabbath. God created it and gave it to Adam and Eve (Mark 2:27-28).

As we go forward for four thousand years, the seventh day is the Sabbath.

Christ did not change the day. (Anybody got a verse in the four gospels that shows where the author of Christianity change the day of worship?)

Neither did the Apostles. (same comment)

Paul already addressed that. Grace and faith are not lawless.
No they are not lawlessness. What is lawlessness?

Mat 7:23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

What word is lawlessness rendered from?

G458
ἀνομία
anomia
an-om-ee'-ah
From G459; illegality, that is, violation of law or (generally) wickedness: - iniquity, X transgress (-ion of) the law, unrighteousness.

Thayers gives us this...

G458
ἀνομία
anomia
Thayer Definition:
1) the condition of without law
1a) because ignorant of it
1b) because of violating it
2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness
Part of Speech: noun feminine
A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: from G459
Citing in TDNT: 4:1085, 646

Mat 13:41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,

Yep, same word. When you teach Grace and Faith WITHOUT Law, you are teaching LAWLESSNESS.

It is part of creation
part of a computer engineers upgrades to his system
God created man and just a few hours instituted the first "programming day"
Man and Woman needed updates weekly or they would sin and run into a viral programm loop focusing on themselves and sef destructing
The Sabbath was to keep focus outpward, God saw and addressed and dangerous subroutines and nullified them so man would remain loving selfless and happy

Satan introduced the virus at the tree of knowledge, he asked them to question Gods authority
and contradicted him with a subroutine allowing them to put self over God

unfortunately eve bit the apple and her programming of selfless love self destructed

Adam and Eve needed the Sabbath to stay perfect with updates each week

now we are in sin we need the updates

God promised that on sunday he would not be in the office and the update woudld be lost hence civilization regression into self destruction and selfishness

we now look at lewd totally self centered selfish rude obnoxious musicians as heroes
Perversions are seen as good, and those who dont pervert are seen as hateful and dangerous.
accusing and paranoia rule now and all we think of is self and what we want to do, it is almost over

all because the Sabbath updates have not been followed the computers are almost ineffective now barely doing anything useful for society at all and totally selfish.

The last step is total anarchy.

satan perverted man and will win the war if he can totally eliminate the Sabbath
he gave all power to the world religion for the last two thousand years to disengage christians from the Sabbath, and they are deteriorating they preach everyone goes to heave, throw the Bible away dont need it

Those who keep the Bible and believe it are now officially called terrorist and are put on homeland insecurity watch lists...
it wont be long

Keep Sabbath and live
or dont.

Yep, same word. When you teach Grace and Faith WITHOUT Law, you are teaching LAWLESSNESS.
You just have no clue what grace is. Or faith for that matter. Grace and law are mutually exclusive. I know that's a stumbling stone to you and other law-cultists, but that's the way it was designed to exclude from the kingdom those who glory in laws (that they don't even keep), but don't have faith.
