hi everyone,
JOB 2:1 again there was a day when the sons of god came to present themselves
before the lord, and satan came also among them to present himself before the lord.

every time I read this verse makes me wonder , who are THESE SONS OF GOD?
I have been told that "we are" these sons of god. and some others says that they are another human race. because they also appear in the first book of the bible in genesis 6:4.

i will be so greatful if anyone can share a theory or opinion based on bible about it,

blessings...

"Sons of God" is a term that seems to always applied to men. There does not seem to be any place in scripture where this term is ever applied to angels as many suppose.

Job 38:1-7

King James Version (KJV)

38 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
4
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Angels

was any human around when God created the heavens and the earth ?

That is what God is asking Job

Who were there with him ?

thanks brother, but what about job 38:6-7. it is talking about the creation of the earth, and verse 7 says that the sons of god, were already there. .... and all sons of god shouted for joy...

Job is a human thus God is asking him if he was there when he craeted the world nope he was not but were the a or morning stars there , yes
because the sons of God here cannot be humans as many teach.
Adam and Eve were the first humans and came and met the earth

This is the one text that might possibly imply angels but not conclusively so. Every other place that I can think of where this term is used it seems to always be linked to man.

1 John 3

King James Version (KJV)

3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

The Septuagint has angels instead of sons of GOD.

That's based on the Masoretic Text, which is probably wrong.

Which "Sons of God" would the bible be speaking of when it talks about them singing with the morning stars when God laid the foundation of the earth by measure and line seeing how Adam and Eve had not been cut, formed and fashioned yet from the earth? As a matter of fact Adam was a son of God and after the fall, men are called the sons of men or a son of man until the N.T. age when the concept of being a Son of God gets fully expounded.
